My daughter and I took a few days visit to San Antonio and see the Christmas sights. Since my husband and I had stayed at the Hampton Inn before, we choose it again this time. We were not disappointed. The rooms have been redone and were stylish and clean. The only reason I didn't give an excellent score was the beds were not comfortable. They were very "springy" feeling, more spring than mattress. The front desk personnel, especially Brandy, were marvelous. They were very helpful and knowledgeable about the area (food, taxis, etc). The location is perfect to the River Walk and the Alamo, just a 5 minute walk. And the security at the hotel and in San Antonio is wonderful. We felt very safe out walking at night (before midnight, at least). We walked every where we went. We did pay the $15 per day parking fee, which really doesn't make much sense since they do have an adequate parking lot out front, however, it is charged as part of the room. The Breakfast is outstanding. They offer some of the favs (waffles, yogurt, cereal) but they also did a spin on bagels and eggs, biscuits and gravy. It was tasty and plentiful. Water and coffee are available all day. The carpets in the foyer/lobby area need to be replaced, but it's not horrible, just a little worn. All is all, a very nice place to stay. Next time we come back, we will stay there again. Thank you!

Room Tip: We stayed on the second floor away from the elevators and the hotel was full. We had no noise issues.

Attended a six day conference in San Antonio and picked this hotel for location, price, and past experience with the Hampton Inns. Really a wonderful stay. The hotel staff were all helpful. The hotel was extremely clean; the bed extremely comfortable; the room quiet; great breakfast choices and at about half the price of many of the convention hotels. The only drawback is that the area is a tad deserted late at night and walking the 0.4 mile from the convention center was very comfortable with a friend; but I would have taken a cab if by myself (cheap cabfare though so it is really not a serious drawback.

The hotel and staff was very nice. Housekeepers were very nice and friendly. The hotel is clean and well kept. The only thing I didn't like was that you had to pay to park, even if you weren't in the gated security area. Previous Hampton Inns I have been to always gave you a choice. Free to park in I gated area, a small fee to park in gated. Other than that everything was very nice. Breakfast was well stocked and hostess was very pleasant. A very nice stay.

Family of 4, two rooms, was impressed with the price and the 2 minute walk to the Alamo, and 7 minute walk to the Riverwalk. The facility is new, and the rooms were nicely appointed; felt comfortable, not like your standard reasonably-priced hotel. Thought it was unnecessary/cheap they charged for parking. Would definitely recommend for a family trip. And you want to stay downtown in San Antonio, within walking distance to the sights.

We had a great stay. The location to the Alamo, River Walk and other downtown attractions was great. It.was about a 5 minute walk and was safe. We walked everywhere and had no issues.
The hotel itself was quiet and clean. The bathroom counter was a little small for me but that is the only negative I would have. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was okay. It had typical breakfast fare but they had coffee and hot chocolate available at all times.
