It was my first trip to San Antonio. I chose this this Hampton Inn because it was close enough to walk to the conference center, and I can usually rely on Hampton Inns for qualtiy and comfort.
The front desk staff were always friendly, and greeted every guest as they came through the door. Coffee and tea were always available and hot in the entry way, to pick up on return to my room. Breakfast included hot items and oatmeal as well as the usual bagels, toast, cereal and fruit.
The pool was outside and was well maintained with lots of deck chairs to relax in the sun.
As with all Hampton Inns the room was large, clean and comfortable. There were plugs and usb charging ports next to the bed. A nice touch. The bath towels were large and the bedding was very fresh and comfy
The only issue I had was the air conditioning in the hallway outside my room was on HIGH even though the evenings were cold. It was a trick to not freeze while I opened the door to my room.
I would consider staying here again. It is only a block to the Alamo, and only another block past that to the riverwalk. Macy's and the Rivercenter mall are also only a short walk.More
