Customer service communication horrendous!! In three rooms rented - the sofas were ALL dirty and tattered. Inconsistent coffee prep items, towels, toiletries, etc. were replaced each day. When booking rooms 6 wks in advance, I was assured a microwave would be supplied upon request. Called 4 days prior to trip, and once again asked for a microwave in one of our rooms. (It's amazing that mini suites would NOT have a microwave in ea room). Upon arrival, I asked for the microwave - They said they had NONE available for the rooms. - there was one in the basement laundry room for guest use. Communicating with this hotel was a challenge each time b/c your call was usually transferred to an overseas call center that knew nothing about hotel and had to call hotel while you were on hold. Certainly NOT worth the money!

We stayed here for one night and glad it was only a one night stay. I would not consider this a resort but rather a 3 1/2 star hotel. Multiple problems from the beginning. I booked our room through Priceline.com for $75/night. This specific Hilton location only had "standard" rooms which was one king sized bed for those who booked through Priceline. I spoke to the front desk who informed me that it was a $40 upgrade for a room with two double beds and spoke again to the manager who said it was $50. They have a difficult time keeping their prices straight.

I had problems with check in, went through 3 different rooms. Not all rooms are equal in this hotel. The rooms on the 4th floor need desparate renovation, many scuff marks and worn looking. The rooms on the first floor are well maintained and virtually brand new.

The pool area is nice but overcrowded on a hot summer evening. The workout room is small but clean and adequate had both cardio equipment and weights.

Service at the hotel was excellent but overall experience is that upper management needs to pay more attention to the details. I would probably stay at the Hyatt resort next door the next time as they have a mini lazy river.

Not really a resort, but it has a nice pool and patio area. Was close to Sea World. We had a surprise day in San Antonio and wanted to take the kids to Seaworld (Hurricane Alex messed up our plans!). We found a particular rate online, then called the hotel and booked. When we arrived the rate was $60 higher. We didn't argue because we just wanted to get in and go to Sea World. The next morning we went to the desk and they changed the rate, but it was just the experience of having to go through this that leaves a bad taste in our mouths. The room we were provided was a bit cramped, with no balcony, yet there was plenty of vacancies that had balconies. The morning breakfast buffet was overpriced and the table chef making omlettes ran out of fuel for his portable stove after burning the eggs over easy I'd ordered. Additionally, "who uses olive oil to cook eggs?" Yuk! I had to dump the eggs. Use butter or just plain oil, not olive oil!!! Not a bad place, but Hilton could make this so much better with some close attention to the small details that make a trip "special" or leave it "wanting". In our experience, we were left wanting. Next time, we'll stay at the Hyatt resort next door, but if they're full I'd stay here over other hotels in the area.

We stayed here when we went to Seaworld for the day! It was very nice. The restaurant was nice and the staff were very friendly. There was a DJ outside until 7pm and then there was a movie (Wonder Dog) projected onto the wall for all the watch. There are firepitts and you can buy Smores Kits. However, we actually received them free as we ate in the restaurant. This hotel is not near the river walk but we knew that and were ok about not staying on the river walk; although some people we spoke to were disappointed as they never realized the distance. I would certainly stay here again as my kids loved it and it was very nice.

This property is one of the best in San Antonio for business travelers as well as families. The quality of food in the restaurant is top notch for breakfast. The staff is more than willing to accomodate special request.
