Had a great experience at this hotel. Enjoyed every bit of our stay. Staff was friendly and professional. Would definitely come here again and recommend this hotel. Breakfast there and the complimentary drinks were a plus.

This hotel was a major disappointment. I give 2 stars only because the facility itself is nicely designed and the artwork and layout of the rooms are very interesting.

Rooftop spa was so lukewarm it was not comfortable to sit in even in TX weather. Called about it to the front desk, was transferred to dial tone/voicemail and hung up on repeatedly. One staff member stated curtly, "it's as hot as it's going to get" --- pull the other one; I know how a hot tub works. We were staying there a week and it was never fixed.

Maid service was also the worst of any place I have stayed; maids had no regular schedule, only came twice in a week's stay, and would refuse to do any work if someone was in the room when they arrived. Ended up cleaning out the bath tub myself because it was gross and they never once touched it. When I asked the front desk clerk to help me figure out their schedule so I could plan my day, he asked me if I was familiar with the standard 9-5 work day... wow. Yeah dude, I work 60 hours a week. I left a day early because I was really unhappy being there and I won't return.

Not the place to go if you like friendly service. We were much better off after switching to a less fancy Holiday Inn Express. Employees hate working here and it shows.

Rooms were clean, breakfast we ample and orderly. Lots of great service at the breakfast.

We weren't able to participate in the dinner, but they did say we each got THREE free alcoholic beverages if we did attend. What a great perk.

The rooms were very comfortable and we enjoyed the stand up shower (baths are not are thing).

My 80 year old Mom, my husband and I stopped at the Drury Plaza Hotel in San Antonio on our way to El Paso. We ran in to some bad weather and were running a little late. When I called the front desk to alert them, they were very accommodating and told us not to worry. We arrived to a very nice room. It was a suite with a living area and a bedroom area with two full/queen beds. The bedroom had a sliding door which was very convenient when I needed to give my mother some privacy. I also had asked for a handicapped assessable bathroom for my mother. The room was clearly set up for handicap accessibility but there was a tub instead of a shower which was a little difficult for Mom. However, we all had a relaxing and comfortable stay. We were also surprised to notice that the rooms across the hall and either side of us were occupied by teenagers from Texas schools scheduled to play at a state playoff football game. We didn't hear a thing all night. Great kids and great hotel! You will enjoy your visit to San Antonio if you decide to stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel!

The suite was very Spacious. It was nice to have a separate living room and bedroom with a very large bathroom. The shower was very nice. The Saturday we stayed there , I had a call at 3:45 to get our room cleaned. We went out for an early dinner and when we returned the room was cleaned. The hotel is centrally located to everything
and the grounds around the property are all very nice. My only complaint is breakfast. I agree that it's included in the cost of the room but I feel the hotel could do a lot more to make it nicer. The Sunday morning that we ate there the food was not appetizing, the donuts were stale, everything was minimal at best. I played it safe by having orange juice, a banana , and some peanut butter. The kickback in the evening was actually OK the drinks were fairly good and most of the food offered( hot dogs , cheesy pasta, baked potatoes, nachos ) were hot and fresh. Parking garage is also a plus. All in all a good hotel. We will likely stay there in the future. They really need to step up their game at breakfast or just offer prepackaged items that can be heated. Maybe that would be more appetizing.
