“BEST Museum in San Antonio”
Reviewed July 19, 2014 via mobile

We go as often as we can. It's so cool to see all the different cultures that settled in Texas. It's nice to go for a quick trip or to do it all day. Also if you are going durning June don't forget to go to the Texas folklife festival. Great ethnic food, drink and music.

“Loved this place!”
Reviewed July 19, 2014

Friends recommended this place and we were so glad they did! We happened to be there on the second Sunday of the month so admission was free. There are displays from every culture in Texas. The day we were there we were able to speak to an American Indian gentleman that was so friendly and informative. He took time to answer the kids questions and even teach them a couple of Indian words. There were other people there demonstrating other things. It was a fun place to visit and they have a really nice gift shop.

“So neat”
Reviewed July 2, 2014

This visit was a requirement for a cultures class (International Business, I think) for UTSA. I am so glad he required it! I loved every aspect from making it a date afternoon to the exhibits to the presentations. Make it a point to go at least one time!

James B, Public Relations Manager at Institute of Texan Cultures, responded to this review, July 7, 2014
The reviewer mentions, the visit to the Institute of Texan Cultures was for a class at The University of Texas at San Antonio. The museum is actually a component of UTSA and UTSA students, faculty and staff receive free admission with their school IDs. - James B., ITC Communications
