We went to the Institute for a banquet. We were able to tour through the exhibits before our dinner. They have done a really good job putting this together and showing the different people and their homelands that have made Texas the great state that it is. There is also a Mexican Air Force and a Girl Scout Exhibits in the building as well.

Who knew the German's were so involved in the development of San Antonio? Their engineering skill at building homes a half story into the cool earth made living there bearable, and they contributed greatly to the financial security of the population.
