Good for all ages. No food available but the litttle take-out restaurnt nearby on the way to the Riverwalk was great value and had good specials on freshly made sandwiches.

“A taste of Texas”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We decided to stop by the Institute to see the Wendish display. I remember going as a child when they had a big celebration and my grandma was dressed in her Wendish costume. We didn't have much time to see everything, but we enjoyed going through the areas that we did. Be sure to stop by the SA visitor center to get buy one, get one free tickets.

“A very different museum”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

This unusual museum highlights, in sections, all of the various cultural/ethnic groups who have lived in and migrated to San Antonio over its 400 year history. It does it through stories, pictures and artifacts. It is definitely worth a half day visit.

“Good, but expected more”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

Beautiful building and displays. Somehow I think that there could be more about Texas than was shown. I enjoyed the display of the ladies working the cotton into thread. Everyone was very pleasant.
