“Beautiful gardens”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

Has the traditional gardens but also 3 loops showing the different areas of Texas: Hill Country, East Piney Woods, and South Texas. Delightful stroll through all 3.

“Beauty all around”
Reviewed November 12, 2012

The perfect place for a stroll. Couples, families, dog lovers, plant fanatics all have a reason to love this place. Super atmosphere and lots of special events to keep folks coming back for more. My first experience at the gardens was bringing my students for a field trip. That's all it took to get me hooked. The Japanese garden and the hiking trails are my favorite part. Don't forget to complete your trip by stopping by the shop on your way out.

“Lovely place to spend an afternoon”
Reviewed November 9, 2012

The San Antonio Botanical Garden was a well kept botanical garden showcasing plants that grow in Texas. The gardens were easy to navigate and is a place that can be enjoyed for adults and children. We saw kids feeding the ducks and climbing the stairs in the observatory. They were having a great time. This place is a gem.

“Take a break from your busy day”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

I happened upon this place by mistake. I turned down the wrong street and ended up in the parking lot for the gardens. I had just checked out of one hotel and had a few hours to blow before checking into another so I spent a couple of hours leisurely walking around the gardens. A peaceful and quiet place to relax.

“Botanical Garden in San Antonio”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

Everytime we visit, it's completely different. Lots to see and the restaurant on site is wonderful and cost is reasonable. You don't need to pay entrance fee to go to the restaurant. It's on Bus 7 which runs every hour. Went there twice this trip.
