“Must See Before Going to the Alamo”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Good movie to help people understand what happened at the Almo that was of historical significance. While the acting wasn't exactly academy award-winning, it was good enough to emit the poignance of the situation and convey the essence of the bravery and committment of the martyrs who fought for what they beleived in. The cost is $12 per person, which is a little high, but worth it to get a true understanding of what really happened at the Alamo. I would definitely recommend seeing this before touring the Alamo.

“A must-see experience before seeing the real thing”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

This movie will give you a much deeper appreciation of the Alamo historical attraction by bringing the story to life. Although the movie itself is 25+ years old, it holds up amazingly well and does not seem dated. Certainly some of the scenes take creative license and may be closer to legend than reality, but it provides a wonderful feel for what it must have been like to be present during the battle.

“A must see prior to going to the Alamo”
Reviewed October 12, 2012 via mobile

Thanks to tripadvisor for helping me enjoy a historic movie prior to walking to the Alamo. The movie gives you a clear understanding of what happened at the Alamo. Motels/Hotels should inform the tourists of the IMAX and strongly suggest they visit here first.

“An introduction to the Alamo”
Reviewed October 12, 2012

We went to see the movie about the Alamo and we did not regret it. The 45-min movie explains the story of the Alamo; we had a far better understanding of what happened before visiting the Alamo itself.
I would definitely recommend it.

“A place to go before visiting the Alamo.”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

The Alamo IMAX Theatre has a long-running IMAX feature film about the Alamo that is a must-see before walking across the street to visit the Alamo. This short movie helps set the scene of this historic battle, and helps you see the Alamo with at a different time. Inexpensive, family friendly, easy access with great parking. Particularly great place shop in the stores that are close to this IMAX.
