Stayed here this past weekend with husband, 2 sons and their families. We had balcony suites, which were clean, spacious, and modern. Loved sitting on the balcony at night, watching the pool action. Lobby was filled with activity areas and decorated in a fun, comtemporary theme. Pool area was awesome with pool bar open evenings and weekend days. Happy hour 5-7. Water was a little chilly for grandma, but the kids had a blast while we sat in hot tub next to the bar area. Staff was very accommodating, especially with the Sea World shuttle. We loaded it up with 6 adults, 2 toddlers, strollers, and even a wagon every trip and the driver was patient and helpful each time. Much better than parking and walking. The breakfast was a little expensive, but convenient and delicious. So easy to charge food and drinks to room. Grounds were well landscaped and neat.
Overall, we had an awesome time and felt like we were at a nice resort. I wanted a place that met my daughter-in-laws' expectations (both grew up vactioning at 5 star resorts), but still fit into our budget. This place was perfect! The rates allowed us to spend whatever we wanted on food, drinks, Sea World, etc. and the setting made us feel like we were on a luxury vacation. We all had a great time. We'll be back!

Room Tip: Second floor balcony suites 240-242-244 were awesome.

Check-in was smooth, fast and friendly service. Got the room and floor we requested, kids wanted 4th floor and we had a balcony view of seaworld off in the distance.

Room was nice, super clean and spacious. Beds had nice bedding and tons of big fat fluffy pillows. We had a room with 2 queen beds which we very firm beds. It was sleepable but it was nice to get back home to my own bed. The towels in the bathroom were hard and scratchy. It felt like they had been dried on a clothes line outside. Bathroom was nice and spacious. Mini fridge was nice but no microwave, you had to go down stairs if you wanted to use a microwave.

The market store in the lobby consisted of small snacks and drinks which were over priced. A regular sized bottle of water and sodas was $2.79. There is a microwave in this area if need to heat food up.

After returning from a super long day at seaworld we returned to our room expecting to have our beds made and the room all nice and tidied up but it was exactly how we left it, in a hurry and messy. But later that evening a maid stopped by our room to ask if we needed anything. So I got more hard rough towels for the pool.

The bistro in the lobby had a very limited expensive menu selection. After a long day at seaworld and hurting feet, we decided to eat in the hotel instead of driving off somewhere. We ordered 2 loaded potato soups which came with 3 small cheesy toast sticks, 1 ceasar chicken salad and 2 bottles of water and 2 pepsi bottles. Total came out to $35! Food tasted great and was filling but could be a bit cheaper.

The swimming indoor/outdoor pool was AWESOME! I think this is really what you are paying for! Spent most of our time in the hot tubs, there are two, one indoor and one outdoor. Swim up bar is awesome also. Water was a little chilly, especially if the wind is blowing, makes it feel colder. It would be great if they could heat the water. There are hard rough towels for you the use in the pool area.

This hotel does not offer complementary anything. Nothing is free, if you choose to eat at the hotel, you will pay for it. I recommend leaving and going down the freeway to the next exit and there are tons of restaurants to choose from. I was not aware of this until the first morning I attempted to find some free breakfast and was told “we do not have complementary breakfast here”. I was shocked, I’ve never heard of a hotel not giving complementary anything!! That was a bummer!

There is a really nice big Valero convenient store right next door to the hotel, walking distance. It’s like a small grocery store. But remember if you get anything that needs to be microwaved, there’s not one in your room! We walked over for drinks and snacks and bought them back to our room. Much cheaper than buying from the market at the hotel.

Staff was friendly, hotel very clean and well kept, awesome pool and hot tubs, but very expensive food and complementary nothing! Would I stay again? Probably not, I'm sure there are better hotels out there, just do your research. Wish I would've done a bit more research before booking.

This is a great place to stay if going to SeaWorld. You are literally a mile away and the hotel provides free shuttles to and from SeaWorld (saving parking costs). We made a reservation in the morning for the shuttle and when we returned, the shuttle was waiting for us in the front (I believe they run each half hour between the 2 different Marriott hotel shuttles).

The rooms were clean and had a balcony and fridge. My main gripe was our room was located facing the highway side. The noise from the highway was very audible, especially when motorcycles were revving by in the middle of the night. Also (and no fault of the hotel), the people next to us were so loud and they had their baby playing and running until about 2am -- all which we heard through the thin walls.

Service was fantastic and everyone seemed friendly and helpful. I thought it was odd to close the bar at 11pm (pool closes at 10:30), but I guess they don't have much business for that in a family friendly place.

If you have kids and going to SeaWorld -- I would highly recommend this place to stay!

We actually stayed there in july of 2010 and I say it was one of the highlights of our trip. They were very friendly and met all our needs. Now the pool is one of the kind for the kids and the staff treated us real good. The rooms were cool at arrival and alot space, and did I metion very kids friendly. We stayed for a whole week and We have NO complaints cant wait to go back 2012. Oh and the shuttle bus drivers were really nice too. We really loved this Hotel I will recommend it to everyone I know going to San Antonio to stay there.

My daughter recently had a softball tournament in San Antonio and we stayed at the adjacent Fairfield Inn for the first two nights (tournament nights). Once the tournament was over, we moved over to the Courtyard for one night so that my kids could enjoy the fabulous indoor/outdoor pool as a treat to my son (whose birthday it was) and for my daughter who had made it to softball regionals. Let me just say that EVERYTHING about this hotel was fabulous.

Check-in was wonderful and the manager on duty was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She made us feel welcome and seemed to really enjoy her job and wanted to make us excited about our stay.

For the room, we had reserved a King Suite, City View. The room was rather large and featured a sofa-bed and chair in the living area. There were two large, flat-screen tvs - one to be viewed from the bed and the other from the sofa. It was a nice bonus since we have kids and they could watch cartoons while we watched something else. The room also had a very nice/large desk area and comfortable work chair. We also had a coffee maker and mini-refrigerator (this is rather small, but sufficient for a few cold drinks). Just past the bed, you could walk out onto the balcony of which our room had a view of the hills. The bathroom was also ample.

Downstairs, the hotel had a Bistro that served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They also served Starbucks, including some fancier drinks like lattes and such. For evening time, they have good deals for appetizers that can even be ordered and enjoyed at the pool - like a huge basket of onion rings for $3, or huge plate of chicken nachos (I think the price was $6-7?). All of the food that we had here, our whole family enjoyed.

Kids' meals were priced fairly and included drinks. For breakfast, the kids' meals were either french toast with strawberries or eggs/bacon/fruit; both included milk or juice. For dinner, the options were turkey sandwich, pb&j, burger/cheeseburger, cheese, quesadilla, ceasar salad, or grilled cheese; each included milk or juice plus choice of fruit, chips, apple wedges, or yogurt. Current price at our July 2011 visit was $4.50.

There is also a small market place near the check-in desk that has cold drinks, sodas, beers, chips, snack foods, and some more substantial foods. Here, there is a microwave in case you need to heat something up.

The biggest and nicest thing that my whole family loved was the indoor/outdoor pool area. There is a zero-entry pool with small fountains for babies/toddlers. There is also a swim-up bar that is open in the afternoons for sodas, adult beverages, ice cream, etc. There are two hot tubs - one outside and one in the inside pool area. The pool area is outlined with palm trees and gorgeous landscaping and is especially beautiful at night with the lights illuminating around the pool. Some suites have balconies that overlook this oasis. Some nights on the weekends, they have a DJ at the pool from 6-9:30pm and they had face-painting one Friday night as well.

Finally, the hotel is in a very safe and clean area of San Antonio. It is fairly easy to find off of 1604 and located very close to Sea World (although a free shuttle is provided). There is a Rudy's BBQ located one block away. A few more blocks to a mile or so away are restaurants like Olive Garden, Peter Piper's Pizza, Chilis, Double Dave's Pizza, Chick-fil-A, and more. There is a nice gas station next door in walking distance as well that has salads, burgers, hot dogs, doughnuts, wine, beer, sodas, etc, in case you need something.

Overall, this hotel is fantastic and truly memorable. We will definitely have this as our top choice when we return to San Antonio.
