Attended an Insurance Convention here late Sept 2013. This facility is enormous, with many great rooms and Salons for any type of function. We had a full auditorium converted to a catering hall overnight. The staff was attentive, polite and all of it is situated in the heart of downtown San Antonio. The convention center is also conveniently connected to the Grand Hyatt

Tropical plants, intricate tile work, and the flowing waters of the San Antonio River create a breath-taking entry for this immense convention center. With a complicated floor plan, it's easy to get lost, but you might stumble upon some fascinating statuary or out-of-the-ordinary exhibits. Don't plan on eating there, as there isn't much choice, but the RiverCenter Food Court is a short walk. Do plan on bringing a light jacket or sweater, as it's frigid inside. All in all, it's a beautiful facility with great amenities for meetings.

Excellent place to attend meetings. Downtown streets under construction, so locating parking can be a challenge.

Was there for a conference and the rooms had adequate facilities for the various presentations. Food options are limited to the cold sandwiches and salads, and the walkways in the convention centre are cold. It was 7 degrees celsius with the wind blowing when I was there. It was common to see conference participants getting some warmth by sitting at the benches outside in the sun. It was nice to have comfortable seating places at the corridors to catch a breather or to plan the next presentation.

The National Science Teacher conference was help here at the convention center. This is one of the best places to have e conference. The convention center was very nice and easy to navigate. The near by hotels offered additional meeting rooms needs for the conference (conference used convention center and 4 other hotels meeting rooms). It was easy to get from one place to another in a short time. I have been to this conference in a different city and had a terrible time moving between many hotels that were very spread out. This convention center made the conference much more enjoyable. There are plenty of hotels in the area to accommodate travelers. The Riverwalk provided eating options and things to do. I hope the conference is help here again in the future.
