“San Antonio center stage”
Reviewed June 28, 2013

The Convention Center is spacious and beautifully designed. Attended the ISTE conference in June and it easily accommodated the large group. Plenty of views of the Riverwalk, lounge areas meeting rooms.
Because the building is huge and spreads both sides of the river, navigating the lay of the land can be difficult. Luckily, the ISTE staff had many people on hand to help out.
I found the services offered, food vendors, business center, coffee shop were priced highly than need be. Luckily the mall and food court was across the street. $8 for a turkey sandwich??
Overall you can't beat the ambience, just pack your own lunch.

“Well Have Never.........”
Reviewed June 23, 2013 via mobile

.....seen such a convention centre in my life. We had a session after lunch in one of the conference halls: people as far as the ete could see but the presentation was aided by 5 huge screens and easy tonlisten to speakers that made you feel close to the action even though i was close to the back. Facilities quite good and accessible. A great location for the ISTE Conference

This building was very large and elegant! Great place for meetings and large group functions. They also brew Starbucks coffee which was awesome!

“10,000 Steps a Day Isn't Hard.”
Reviewed April 28, 2013

This is a really huge convention center. One of the biggest I have experienced. Starting off, signage is abysmal. Finding your way around is very difficult and there is a lot of space with no-one to help. The main entrance is in the middle of the building far from the main street. No sign to tell this. Once inside there are numerous pathways and no staff to direct. Luckily the meeting I was attending had signage inside to get me to the registration desk. The building is about two blocks long, a block wide and at least three stories, it is challenging to find your way. It is even more challenging to get between sessions with only a short time. The amenities offered were few and far between. There was only one place that served a wide variety of food. A couple of coffee stands, nothing served hot food. The place is big and can accommodate a large convention, but would not be my first choice.

“Massive... and expensive”
Reviewed April 18, 2013

My company recently attended the national TCASE show and I must admit the facilites are impressive but no more so than many of the other locations I've seen. That said the facilisties managers seemed to want to nickle and dime you for everything with regards to the booth. It was so expensive I doubt we'd ever be back for this particular show again if it were to return. I can't say whether the high cost was the fault of the facilities management or the show management but it was rediculous. Add onto that the insane costs on the concessions and it doesn't really matter how good the facilities are, I mean seriously 3 bucks for a small apple???
