We took our family on a mini vacation this past weekend and we stayed here. The Hotel was very nice and clean. The Staff was very pleasant. The room was nice as well. I would love to stay here again. Great place to stay. When you walk into the Hotel it really smells fresh and clean. Its very inviting. The breakfast was great also. A lot to choose from. My family really enjoyed our selves. We did not want to leave.

This is a good choice for a San Antonio hotel if you are on a tighter budget and do not want to spend hundreds of dollars per night to stay at another Riverwalk hotel.

The location is easy to find. As other people have mentioned, it is at the end of the Riverwalk, but it is a short walk to all the “action.” You can also walk along the street and get to sites as well.

Free parking is a big perk. There is a lighted lot in front of the hotel to park in. Our room actually overlooked the parking lot (as opposed to the river) which was ok. We could see the car, although if I stayed there again I may request a room overlooking the river.

Free breakfast was another perk. There was a line to get into the breakfast buffet when we arrived downstairs, but it moved quickly and it was Spring Break. The staff opened up the conference room (with round tables) for people to eat – otherwise there would not have been nearly enough seating. The food was ok – and had something for everyone. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, oatmeal, pastries, etc.

The room itself was quite spacious. There was a sink with a refrigerator under it in the “living area”, a desk, and a small sectional sofa with an ottoman. A large flatscreen TV could be seen from both the living room and the bedroom. The bed was comfortable and had two small nightstands. There was a small closet, a sink with drawers , and through a doorway was the toilet and a large shower. The toilet/shower room was small – as others have mentioned. We managed, someone who is larger may have to maneuver themselves around the door before closing it to use the toilet or shower.

I would recommend this hotel, the staff was pleasant and helpful and overall it was a good stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the river as opposed to the parking lot

The Hyatt Place is a pleasant walk (15 minutes) from the Riverwalk and downtown San Antonio. There is a large free parking area at the front of the hotel and the rooms are large and comfortable, if nondescript. Comfortable bed and a large sofa.

This was our first stay at a Hyatt Place and it obviously fits in the chain hierarchy well below the usual Hyatt standards. Nothing to particularly praise, but then nothing to complain about either.

We paid in excess of $170 per night including breakfast and Wi-Fi. It was not cheap although it was one of the lower priced hotels in the ‘centre’ of San Antonio. The Hyatt Place has a good breakfast with a number of choices and it is much better than many of the chain hotels who insist on serving everything in or on polystyrene plates and cups.

A good base to see San Antonio, including the Alamo, the other missions and the surrounding area.

Since I was traveling with 4 teenagers I loved that every room came with a pull out sofa bed. The free hot breakfast was wonderful eggs, oatmeal, pancakes, sausage, fruit, juice, coffee&alot more. free parking is rare in this city. The hotel is on the river walk but its a 7-10 minute walk to the restaurants&Alamo. Staff was overly helpful with extra pillows blankets, bandaids anything we needed. The area was very safe and I felt comfortable letting my teens walk the riverwalk alone. The bathroom is small but we used the walkin closet as dressing area, the big sink and mirror are outside the bathroom and i loved that there was another sink and mirror in the living room so we could all get ready at the same time. Big flat screen T.V. Very up to date. Will stay again.

Room Tip: Our room was over looking the riverwalk and had balcony's with chairs on this side. Rooms with c...

Nice hotel and staff but 15 min walk to true riverwalk. Very pricey given that it was on an extension of the riverwalk that was not developed. Breakfast served was very good but they did not seem to be on top of things running out 10 min wait for breakfast on a Friday morning and a Saturday morning.

This hotel is very nice and well run. I felt comfortable from check-in to departure. I really enjoyed the room set up with the nice living room space. I only had cereal and fruit in the morning, but the buffet looked very good and was popular. Only down side is that although it is on the river walk it is about 1/2 mile away from the Alamo area. That was okay for me, but not a good choice if you're looking for the River Walk experience.

Stayed here for a week on a business trip and would recommend Hyatt Place. It's a 10 minute walk to the Alamo, the Riverwalk, and the downtown area. Rooms were nice. My room had a balcony with a nice view of the river. Free wifi and parking were included. The area seemed safe and I walked downtown on several occasions. There was no room service, but a limited menu was available that you could order and pickup at the bar. The bar area was small and just off the lobby. My business meetings were at a location 15 minutes southwest of downtown and the hotel was conveniently located just a few minutes from the freeway.
