“Loved it and so did my teenage son...”
Reviewed August 14, 2012

This was on mom's to do list during our vacation to San Antonio so my son had to tag along. My interest was the photo opportunity, but I have to say both myself and my son truly enjoyed learning about the missions and their importance in the local history. And of course the photos were great...there were two brides having wedding photos taken there. It is worth the visit and the history lesson was awesome!!!

“Knowledgeable staff/Excellent Grounds”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

This is the Mission that is located next to the visitors center for all four of the Missions that are maintained by a conglomerate of the National Park Service and active churches. You can get a driving map to the other Missions here. They didn't have any advertisement for guided tours till we heard it announced over the PA system. We were glad we heard it. The guide was knowledgeable and we would have liked to have had the guide take us through the entire complex. We still gained interesting facts from the guide that aren't posted on the informational boards. Allows an interesting peak into some of the intricacies of the time, such as how Native Americans changed their belief systems. The chapel is well taken care of, and the history the walls hold is extraordinary.

“Magnificent!”
Reviewed August 11, 2012

There was a lot to see here. A beautiful santuary, lovely grounds with flowers, and amazing architecture! There was an interesting old mill, and illustrations of how it worked. The Rose Window is as beautiful as you see in pictures. It is very hot in the summer months, so take a bottle of water.

“Really wonderful”

During our stay in San Antonio we visited the Alamo, Conception and San Jose.
This last one must be visited, really AMAZING.
It seems to jump back in history.

You can't help but be moved by this Mission. We go back again and again, taking photos, attending events and just soaking in the history.
