“Amazing quality and terrific value”
Reviewed March 14, 2013

I've eaten at many Mediterranean places, but this is easily one of the best. The exterior leaves a lot to be desired, but the inside is really nice. Forget the rolls or the small loaves of bread that others might give you, Pasha hooks you up with an enormous hunk of naan (bread) that could essentially count as the entire meal. The quality of the food stood out in particular; salad seemed fresh, shawarma trio (lamb, beef, chicken) was fantastic, and the side sauces they give were equally good. I was extremely satisfied with the food/service and look forward to a return trip. As of this writing, Pasha is hovering around #30 of restaurants in San Antonio when it could easily be in the top 15.

“Quality is off-putting”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Had dinner here in mid-February and wanted to match this place against a little neighborhood restaurant in San Antonio called Gypsy's. The Pasha restaurant is a bit phony...no alcohol served but they do charge a stiff "corkage fee" if you BYOB. (A Muslim religious taboo?) But the worst thing was a questionable lamb kabob on a skewer. The meat was definitely well past it's pull date. We wouldn't eat here again.

“Great Place!”

I don't really have another Mediterranean option to compare this against, but I love Pasha. The food is very flavorful, and the staff is attentive. I try and eat here a few of times a month. Give the lentil soup a try.

“The aromas are oh, so enticing”
Reviewed February 26, 2013

I discovered this place over 4 years ago while staying at Best Wester across the street. What a find! My husband and I are repeat guests whenever we are in San Antonio. At lunch you place your order with the cashier, find a table and immediately there is a fresh, hot HUGE naan waiting for us along with a plate of olive oil with Arabian spices. You have to stop yourself from eating all of it, especially because it will keep on coming during the meal, but it’s so-o-o-o tasty. Just one more bite! This is an Arab/Middle Eastern restaurant, so there are lamb chops, stewed leg of lamb, beef and lamb kabobs, and the entrees are served with a deliciously tart and slightly charred roasted tomato and aromatic jasmine rice with a pat of REAL butter. It gets loud because the acoustics aren’t so hot and because it's ALWAYS crowded, but the food makes up for it. Every time we’ve eaten there, the servers have been cheerful, helpful, and knowledgeable. There is a huge turnaround in the server staff, but they do very well. At dinner you get a server taking your order and the menu is a bit more extensive, but the food is still delicious. We have tried the baba ghanoush, the delicious saj bread, hummus, and of course, the delectable baklava. Can’t wait to go back!

“Real Middle East!”
Reviewed February 22, 2013

I lived in Saudi Arabia and haven’t had a meal like this since I left. The shawarma is as good as any I had over there. The hummus was excellent as was the shirazi salad. My only complaint is that there isn’t one where I live.
