From the decor to the customer service, we were thoroughly impressed with this hotel. As soon as we arrived, the manager upgraded us from a 1-bedroom to a 2-bedroom (still not sure why). With 2 kids, I did not complain. The kitchen was upgraded and there was plenty of space for everyone. The on-site manager checked on us each time we went past the lobby. When we needed a cookie sheet, he looked throughout the hotel to find us one. The housekeeping staff was very friendly. The pool was heated, which was a great amenity given the temperature in TX had dropped into the 40s the week we visited. Overall, this was a great stay!

We visited recently with two families in tow to attend the BMT graduation at Lackland AFB. From my very first call (with Cowboy Robert) to the property months in advance to inquire about rates to the moment we walked out the door (shaking Cowboy Robert's hand), we were made to feel welcome like family. The Residence Inn concept is great by itself but coupled with people that truly care that you are comfortable and have everything you need, there is no match. Thanks to all for a great stay!

Love this hotel. Good breakfast selection and evening social hour 4 nights of the week. Friendly staff and updated furnishing. In door pool- so bring your swim suit.
Came for work and the hotel provided free internet that was reasonably fast. Close to walmart, post office and runs along the main hwy.

We like the concept of Residence Inn and this property is embodiment of it. It’s clean, freshly redone comfortable lobby, outdoor patio with grill, mini basketball/volleyball court. We spent a bit of time in an indoor swimming pool before and after our excursions- water was a tad too warm but I never had to worry for kid to stay swimming too long and get chilled. Hot tub is a nice way to relax after a day on ones feet. Hotel provided adequate breakfast, with attentive personal made it for stress free mornings.
There 2 Marriott properties closer to Sea World that provide shuttle to the park- NOT this one.

Room Tip: We liked higher floor.

I don't have enough positive adjectives to properly pass on our experience. They staff was excellent and engaging. Robert at the front desk took the time to get to know us. The woman who did the breakfast and social hours on OCT 16, 17, and 18 was so nice and kind not just with us, but with all the guests. She even got some of the continental breakfast items up and 5:30a, so we could have breakfast before going to Lackland Air Force Base to see my Son's Airman's run that we had to be there by 6:30a. She also made the best macaroni salad for the social hours. Most of the cleaning staff made eye contact and verbally engaged us in the elevator and in the hallways. Only ran into one person that could not speak English. (We were trying to get a roll of toilet paper and I was unable to get that across to her. We did not have the cleaning service while we stayed there, so occasionally we needed fresh wash cloth and misc. items. This was at our request and not because they didn't offer it.)
The hotel was convenient to Lackland AFB (about a 5-10 min drive) and the Airport (about a 15 min drive) even during "rush hour" traffic.
We traveled with two additional adults and stayed in their two bedroom suite. Each bedroom had their own bathroom and we found plenty of places in the "living room" area of the suite to sit and chat. Although there was a dining room table, some of us sat on the couch and chairs provided. Each bedroom and the living room had a TV. I also was happy that each bedroom had a door that could be closed to provide some privacy for the occupants. We got a wonderful room rate of around $165/night. We couldn't get 2 separate rooms anywhere else for that price.
Breakfast was good and usually consisted of scrambled eggs, sausage patties, some type of potato (ie hash browns, potatoes obrien) and a carb (french toast, pancakes and biscuits and gravy.) Their biscuits and gravy were outstanding and we sure wished that they had it more than once during our stay. You also could get the usual fresh fruit, pastries, assorted breads, cereals and you could make a Texas shaped waffle.
We only got to do one of the social hours. There was a variety of foods. You could make a meal of it.
Only issues we had were the wireless internet signal was pretty poor in our room.

Room Tip: If you are traveling with a family, the 2 bedroom suite is the way to go.
