Be careful when you book a reservation: they wouldn't honor a cancelation 10 minutes that I tried to make only 10 minutes after I booked the reservation - without telling me that the reservation wasn't cancellable.

Room was okay,water pressure in shower was not very good, weak stream, made rinsing a bit longer than usual. Continental breakfast was not very good, not a good taste and too much of smell of bleach in the area where the breakfast was. Not impressed...

When I checked in on Thursday afternoon, I was given a smoking room even though I told the clerk that I had asthma. That clerk also told me that I had to pay an additional fee for the safe box in my room and he charged my credit card. Later in the afternoon another clerk was kind enough to put me into another room, but it was filthy, smelled of smoke, and had bugs in the bathroom. The toilet flushed all night because of a water leak. The swimming pool was extremely dirty and even had someone's discarded underwear in it. I stayed Thursday night although my other family members cancelled their stay when they saw the facility. Thursday night I had an asthma attack and checked out of the hotel by 8:00 Friday morning. I moved down the street to Comfort Suites for the remainder of my stay in San Antonio.
I have attempted to get a refund for the two nights I did not stay at the Days Inn, but the manager of that facility has used several excuses not to give any refund. That position is unacceptable to me and should be unacceptable to your organization.

Room Tip: Go to the Comfort Suites down the street !

After spending the day in San Antonio, we needed a quick place to lay our head before heading home...there was some confusion with where we wanted to stay and where we ended up staying. We attempted to get a Microtel not too far and by our fault we booked Days Inn (miscommunication with someone making the reservation). Anywho, when exiting near the Adult Megaplexxx I knew we were in for a treat. Lot was empty but somehow we ended up all the way at the end of the hotel. I planned on keeping my clothes on and sleeping on top of the comforter after smelling the urine in the bathroom and noticing a fake eyelash sitting right on top of my pillows. Wifi service was bad, we called, and we were told it was only really for the building by the main office. We got moved. Room #2 was just as bad. Place was filthy and I believe that the girls next door were running a "service" out of there, as the shades were never pulled and anyone walking by could see what was on display. The connecting door had been busted open from their side so basically they could come in our room at any time, the wood frame piece near the locks was completely gone. I pushed a chair against the door to grin and bear it. The next morning I made sure to eat to my hearts content at their breakfast as to get my money's worth since I believed this hotel was not worth more than $20. To my amazement I immediately got sick and ended up vomiting by the time that we made it home. ( a mere 2 hour drive)

I should have known better when I exited off of the highway and saw the Adult Megaplex (adult movie theater). But when we checked in to the hotel, the desk clerk could have not been nicer. He even offered to allow us to look at the room before we checked in. The room condition was good, I have stayed in better, but you get what you pay for and this vacation was on a budget.

The first night we noticed the train was kind of loud but we dealt with it. The telephone was not working but we dealt with it. The wireless Internet connection did not work unless you walked outside the room and towards the office and we dealt with it. Even when we only got 2 towels and there were 3 of us in the room again we dealt with that also. But the straw that broke the camels back was when the toilet overflowed at 3 am, (this time the telephone was working,) we tried to call the front desk and it rang about 50 times and nobody answered soI had to go up to the office to get somebody. They brought down a wet vacuum and plunger and said that they could not stay, leaving me to vacuum the wet carpet and unplug the toilet.

The next day we were going to Sea World and did not stop to talk to the management which was in hindsight I guess we should have done and did not get back until late in the evening.

When we went to check out the next day, I talked with the person behind the desk that had a name tag that said that they were the general manager. I explained to him everything that I have stated above. I asked for one night to be comped due to all of the trouble that we had during our 3 day stay. He told me "well you must have been happy with the room because you did not check out." and could not do anything because we were checking out.

I explained to the "General Manager" that was alright and that I would explain everything that had happened at trip advisor and the other web sites that I am a member of. He then said alright, go ahead as, if he did not care.

I work in the travel industry (for a major airline) and if I received a call from a customer explaining troubles that they had, something would be done for them.

The staff at Days Inn made my trip to San Antonio a very pleasant experience. Coordinating the trip with hotel personnel was an easy process. Once we arrived our rooms were ready for check in. It was a pleasing experience. The staff was eager to assist us with any questions or accomodations. I would definately return for another vacation. The location was great! There were many shopping centers and great restaurants in the nearby area. Highly recommend.
