The building was owned by a woman named McNay. Her dad was an oil tycoon and left her a bunch of money. So her house, was nice. After she died she left it to a man who later left it to the city as an art museum. The museum itself is cool, but the building is amazing. It's really cool to just walk around and look at the Spanish style of architecture.
I asked the people who work there some information about the building, and the guy who worked there for five years told me some information I later found out was false. So make sure to research the building on your own time if that interests you.
Thursday and Sunday it's free. I'm not sure the cost the other days. The building is definitely worth the trip to check it out.
