“Great experience”
Reviewed August 12, 2013

I was in San Antonio for 4th of July and we decided to check out the Tower of the Americas. I had a great experience with my family. It was a little crowded due to the holiday, but we still managed to check out the 4D movie. It's a short film titled "Skies Over Texas" and it was great. We waited a short line to board the elevator. The elevator has a glass exterior so you are able to see on your way up. We went up to the viewing floor and it was great. There is a covered wall, I liked that. We were able to take lots of pictures and everyone enjoyed themselves. The only downfall was a long line to get back down. But it was alright. It was worth the price we paid. I would definitely visit again. Be sure to check out the Texas shaped brownies at the cafe.

We went on a Sunday night, the view was amazing!! We just went to the observation deck, but they do have a restaurant that spins. They also have a 4D movie that was really cool! Worth the price

“Pretty big tower”
Reviewed August 5, 2013

The Tower of the America's is just like other tall towers (Space Needle, CN Tower...). They all tend to be pretty pricey it shouldn't be a surprise to pay for parking and then again to go up the elevator. You also get the 4D show included so there's some extra value there. Basically the outside is nice for pictures, the inside is nice for pictures, it's a good place for pictures.

“MUST check out”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Went to tower, not the restaurant. Very beautiful, perfect for pictures. Very inexpensive ( hotel brochures usually have $2 coupon) less that $10. It comes with a fun 4D movie and the view from up high. Take a camera because the pictures they take for you are insanely expensive. I did t expect it to be such an awesome experience

“Great views!”
Reviewed August 2, 2013

Though the price hit me in the gut a bit, we didn't regret it. It was neat to view downtown San Antonio from high in the sky, and the outer deck lended the best views. We went on a Sunday morning so there was no wait to ride up the elevator (I think it's most crowded in afternoons). What made it worth the money was returning that night and seeing the city by night. We are very glad we chose to return. Very few visitors there and enjoyed the gusty breeze on the outer deck. You can't see the city well at night from the inside viewing area, as the reflections of all the lights in the sitting area bounce off the windows. (You do have to pay for parking again if you leave and return...$8.) The courtyard around the tower was beautiful!!! Really nice cascading waterfalls and benches in the shade. The 4-D 15 minute movie that is included in the ticket is both fun and cheesy.
