Staff was top notch, very knowledgable and helpful. Very clean, beds were wonderful and comfy. Location was great if you like a quite riverwalk but the walk to the main is not bad as it seems.

CHECK-IN
Arrived at 3:00pm, check in time, room we booked not ready. Asked if we wanted to wait in bar, all drinks would be compted. 3:30 - not ready. 4:00 - not ready. 4:30 - not ready. Family tired of waiting in bar area. Went and found manager. Told him of situation. He said that they had over booked by allowing guests to extend their stay and that our severvation was one of about 50 that were in the same predictament. He did have us a room, just not what we booked, two months in advance off their web site. Finally, after much discussion and that we would be unable to find a room at another place on the river the 1st day of spring break, we took the room that they were holding for us, at a much discounted rate.

THE ROOM
The rooms are very nice, even having laminated hardwood flooring. However, laminated flooring is noisy and we could hear every step the room above us was making. Very loud and hard to sleep with stomping and clomping coming from above you. Beds very comfy and air conditioner could freeze you out if wanted.

PARKING
The parking is across the street from the hotel in an unsecured lot that has a chain link fence that I could jump over and I am long past fence jumping days. As we parked and walked to the hotel, I noticed a car with the window shattered out. I told the clerk at the check in desk and he said, "Oh not again". I asked if car break ins were a problem and he said that they had been. He told us that we should probably remove everything from our car and they would hold it until the room was ready. We did. I little later, I saw the SA Police out in the parking lot taking a report. On the day that we checked out, we saw the police out there taking another burglarized car report. Also, they have limited parking, so if there is not spaces available, they told us to park next door, in a pay lot, but to have it out by 7:30am, or the lot owner will tow. They charge $9.00 per day parking and that, like the room, is not guaranteed.

This was our experience, as was several others that we met waiting on rooms or looking for parking places. You may have a better experience, but for the cost, I know that I can do better.

CONCLUSION
Indigo is a high end hotel want to be. They have the high prices, but not the services and expectations that go that style hotel. Marriott, Hilton, La Masion much better choices.
And a long walk to any of the Riverwalk resturants or attractions.

Initially, we were completely pleased with the hotel- we loved the balcony and the contemporary decor. But little things went wrong. We came to check in at 4 and the hotel agent said that the rooms were still being cleaned. (Check in is at 3.) Then, we noticed that the surfaces in the room had not been dusted, and the room didn't have an ironing board. The second day in, the custodial staff did not come to clean our room until 5 pm! That night, it started to rain. Immediately, the ceiling was leaking- we noticed that the roof had prior rain damage and the curtains were dirty from rain. When we contacted the front desk, they sent a large dirty trash can to contain the water. The manager said that it happens all the time but since she was "booked" the best she could do for us was give us free parking since we booked through a travel website. Overall, we are completely mortified at our experience (it was our anniversary) and how the staff responded. We've stayed in many 4 star hotels and this hotel was not up to standard.

You can't tell while pulling up to the hotel, but this place is AMAZING! So clean, modern and great staff (Roy!!). When you enter the hotel it is like you are entering your own private world where everyone knows your name. Big, spacious rooms, comfy beds and bedding. The bathrooms are nice but a little tight if there is more than one person trying to get ready at the same time (we did have a blow dryer in our room!). We brought our dog with us and by the end of our 2nd day there everyone knew his name too (even the female manager). Parking was a bit scarse, but everyone was more than willing to help us find a safe place to park. During the week it was fine, on the weekend is when parking became an issue.

All you have to do is walk out the gate by the pool and there are stairs taking you directly, and safely to the Riverwalk. It was a 15-20 min walk to the major restaurants but a beautiful walk the entire way there.

We would stay here again FOR SURE! Highly recommended!!

We stayed for 5 nights. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. What they did not know about an attraction, they looked up on the Internet for us. The room was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the bed wickedly comfortable.
One small issue with housekeeping was fixed within minutes by the housekeeper accompanied by her supervisor.
We were warned by the bike patrol policeman at the parking lot to take all evidence of our GPS with us. After all this is in a city.
Toiletries are upscale. Restaurant was good (1 dinner)

The stay here was good, the rooms were very spacious and had huge tv's. Breakfast was good when you got the food. Our first day they said it would be 45 min before our food would be ready and breakfast was served from 6 am to 11 am. We went at 9:30. Also the last night we stayed my car got broke into as well as 3 other people the same night and stole everyones GPS. Because its not there parking lot, city parking, they said they couldnt do anyhthing about it and they were sorry. But they gave us free parking!!!!! YAY!! How great not a free night or take off a day from our stay but free parking. I dont want to park there anymore.

We do all possible to assist our guests after any unfortunate situation happens. Parking lots, as in any major city, can be problematic when electronics and/or personal items are left within view. The hotel has signs posted in the public lot, printed on the parking ticket, and our staff reminds guests to remove personal items when they check in.

We arrived by shuttle from the airport. We were a little surprised as the street the hotel is on has a number of derelict commercial properties and little to no signs of development. This gave us cause for a little trepidation, as well as the few homeless stragglers walking the empty boulevard.

However, Hotel Indigo appears like a little oasis. A boutique hotel filled with happy primary colors and ecological theme. This seems to be a very new hotel as the staff is friendly but lacking in confident answers (not knowing where a local place is for which to purchase water and snacks...and staff showing up late to prepare breakfast...I stated I have no car, but they gave me a bill for parking).

That said, the location is quiet...on a newer extension of the riverwalk...only 3-city blocks away from the Alamo and the more crowded riverwalk area. The rooms are quite large, clean and decorated in a up-to-date style. There is a large flat panel LCD TV , coffee machine, mini refrigerator and large shower with great water pressure. The beds are on the firm side...but made for a good sleep for us.

If you are looking for the aesthetics and cleanliness of a 4-star hotel with 3-star prices and you don't mind walking 1 or 2 extra blocks to the sites...Hotel Indigo is the place to book.

A couple of words of advice...reserve the kind of bed you desire early. Also, request a room overlooking the riverwalk. Our room has a local NBC logo blazing through the window. If you have an allergy to down, be sure to request non-allergenic linens. Our beds were covered in down pillows and blankets.
