We stayed here July 3-8 and had a great time. There were no fat people in the lobby, and the staff was helpful. We flew to SA so we did not have a car. There was a public parking lot right across the street from the hotel. We rented a car for one day from Avis which was less than a block from the hotel. Our suite was on a high floor, and we had a beautiful view of the Alamo and the surrounding grounds. The windows were thick, so we did not hear sounds from the next door dance hall or the fire station at the end of the block. We truly appreciated the full breakfast buffet each morning. The waffles came out in the shape of the state of Texas. Coffee was available all the time. There was a computer in the lobby so we could check email and print our boarding passes for our flight home. We used the coin laundry--$ .75 for washer and $ .75 for dryer. There was a small fitness room with treadmills, bicycles and weights. This hotel met our expectations and beyond.
