The location is great. Close to Alamo and other tourist attractions. The Convention Center is just 10 minutes walk. There's a mall across the street. Rooms are large and clean. The staff are very helpful and we enjoyed the happy hour socials.

San Antonio is a wonderful city to visit, and staying at the Residence Inn Alamo Plaza is always a good experience. I have visited San Antonio any number of times over the past 10 years, and stayed a various hotels throughout the city covering all price ranges, but the Residence Inn has become my hotel of choice in San Antonio. The staff is consistantly friendly and helpful, I have never found the hotel or the accomodations to be anything but clean and well kept, and their hot breakfast is a wonderful way to start each day. What else could you ask for, a convenient location, great staff, and a clean, comfortable and well kept hotel.
Why even consider staying anywhere else?

Once again, Residence Inn shows levels of excellence in customer care seldom seen in any other hotels, even the real expensive ones! Great stay, enjoyed the consistency in hospitality, welcoming and warm atmosphere, and outstanding service. But what else would you expect from Residence Inn? Thanks!

San Antonio is a friendly town, but it's still nice when employees make an effort to be friendly and everyone we encountered did that. The hotel is spotless, very much like a European hotel in cleanliness, and that was nice. The only annoyance I found was in the building's design. The space for loading and unloading is poorly set up and crowded. It's just too small. Downtown San Antonio is really crowded and parking is at a premium, but I missed that they charge $22 a night for parking when I made the reservation. I don't blame them for that - it was $10 just to park on the street. Just something for future guests to consider. The less you drive in downtown San Antonio the happier you will be. I would recommend this hotel and will return on my next journey to the Alamo City.

Room Tip: The side closest to the Alamo has a nightclub next door that plays loud music all night. The bass tends to filter into the room. I thought there was a football game nearby. The windows are double pane and we didn't hear any street noise, though.
