This has been one of our favorite spots each time we drive in San Antonio from Houston.. Our Kids were 4 and 3 the first time we drove thru and 10 years later it is still a family stop. Having the animals come right up to your vehicle to be fed is so much fun and makes you feel like you are on Safari.. They take great care of the animals and have a great clean natural facility for them to roam. There is a place where you can get out and walk around and see some other smaller animals along with a petting zoo area.. Love to get up close with the Giraffe but by far our favorite part is when the animals try to stick their heads in the car to get fed. We have never laughed or screamed so hard.. Lol.. The Zebras and Ostrich are quite pushy but so much fun... Could go on for hours with all the fun family memories made at this place..
Kids and Adults will love it and it is a must see when visiting that area.... LOVE IT!
Top Stop for us!

“Fun but expensive”
Reviewed June 18, 2014

We had a great time but will only go sparingly because it was a little high priced. There are nice tables for picnicking and a snack bar also. The petting zoo is at the front before you go into the drive through part. We saw all the animals in the guide but they like to eat out of your hand which is against the rules.

“Senic drive with few encounters.”
Reviewed June 16, 2014

It may be the time of year we decided to visit but we arrived fairly early at 10 am on fathers day and there was not much to see or feed, alot of deer like animals and alot of zebras. We saw one ostrich and a lallam but the didn't come tot he car for food. the rhino was pretty cool, he was caged we only could see from a distance. there was lot of driving with nothing to feed and for a two yearl old it was not very enteraining. even the goats in the petting zoo didn't want to eat or be bothered with. the main attraction was the fish and feeding them she could do that all day they looked like they were starving , litterally almost flopping out of the water to get food. I think the price was too expensive to drive and feed some deer and fish we can do that in the hill country. very dissappointed.

“Great spot to see the scenery and feed the animals”
Reviewed June 13, 2014

The was a lot of deer here! Fun to get to drive through and feed the animals. Watch out for the ostrich, he/she loves cell phones!! This is not a quick drive through, it actually takes some time to drive through so don't go if in a hurry! I would recommend seeing for sure if you are going to see the caverns too!!

“Very enjoyable!!”
Reviewed June 12, 2014

We were there in late May on a beautiful day, not too hot yet. It was awesome driving through the beautiful grounds and seeing the animals up close. So cool to see!! The zebra came right up to the window of our vehicle. It wasn't really crowded so we didn't get jammed up on the road at all. They have a great gift shop and excellent food in the cafe. There were a couple of school groups there that day but they were well behaved and controlled by their group leaders. We were pleasantly surpised how much we enjoyed our visit!!
