“Great fun...”
Reviewed January 14, 2014 via mobile

We really enjoyed this ride. The wildlife is definitely used to people as they come right up to the car and some will stick their heads in. There were several varieties of animals, but wished they had a few more. Extra food is sold at the gate for $1.50 per bag. Military tickets available at ITT on base.

“Intersting and fun for the kids”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

We found the place had some intersting wildlife and it was fun for the kids to reach out the car window to feed some of the animals. The key to a sucessful visit is to arrive early. That has two advantages: (1) it is cool and the animals are moving around more, and (2) they are hungry and more intersting in being feed. This is very ture of the monkeys at the end of the trip around the park.

“Fun for the kids!”
Reviewed January 9, 2014

My kids had fun here . . . so did I. I've seen the billboards driving to San Antonio on many occasions and never really considered coming here. But we decided to this time on our planned trip to San Antonio the day after Christmas. It's only about 30 mins. north east of San Antonio. Very straightforward to get here. You can make this visit as long as you want or as short as you want. There is an online coupon from sanantonioattractions.com - $2 off each ticket. We went around twice in the drive thru portion.

I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because (1) you only get 1 bag of food per car, regardless of how many tickets you purchase (extra bag of food cost $1.49 each) and (2) so many people go through this that many of the animals are often not hungry (they also get fed by the people that work there). This doesn't seem to apply to the zebras and llamas though. :-)

“Great safari”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

The safari is a very good size with ostrich and Ebro being my favorites. You can buy food at the entrance and is a great experience that I have repeated more than 4 times, they have a restaurant and a petting zoo for small children

“Exciting and Fun”
Reviewed January 7, 2014

There are plenty of animals to see and they give you a free bag of feed with your ticket purchase, which I believe was more than enough to entice the animals over for a closer look. The zebras are particularly friendly, sticking their entire heads right in through your car window. But beware and resist the temptation to hand feed them. They will bite! We witnessed the man in front of us breaking this rule and the zebra got him good. He quickly withdrew his hand and rolled up his window.
The giraffes are gorgeous and plentiful. There are now two rhinos. The ostrich and emus are fun to watch and will approach your vehicle as will the various other animals.
There is also a learning center, petting zoo and a restaurant. We didn't eat here but did have an Icee for fun.
This was my second visit and no doubt I will return again.
