Owner description: There are two things just about every child in San Antonio has done — visited Brackenridge Park and taken a ride on the Brackenridge Eagle Miniature Train. It'll take you on a scenic tour of the park, so you can rest your feet and enjoy the ride. It is also one of the longest miniature train rides in the world, covering 3.2 miles of track and taking guests to many stops around the park such as the zoo, sunken gardens, and the Witte Museum.

This was FUN!!!!! The seats are comfortable for adults. The length of the trip is about two miles. It was affordable. The area is beautiful. Free parking. Right there by Witte Museum, Japanese Tea Garden and San Antonio Zoo. I would ride this train again.

This little train is wonderful for a nice family rest while in the zoo or park. We loved hearing the history of the park and was a nice way to calm down after the zoo.

My son LOVES the Brackenridge Eagle! Its a great little train ride through some pretty scenic areas around Brackenridge Park, past the zoo, over the river, through a tunnel and some woods. For a toddler it is quite the cross-country adventure and the kids especially love the tunnel, since they are encouraged to yell and "scare any animals off the tracks". Its quite a bargain for only $3.25 for ages 3 and up.

You can make a day of riding the train and visiting the attractions at its stops, just hold onto your ticket and the conductor will pick you up the next time the train rolls around. The train comes by about every 20 minutes but, the problem is they don't always have room to pick you up. So, be warned if you have toddlers with you and its a busy day, you might have a long wait or a long walk.

If you are doing all the stops the first one is the Witte Museum, take the kids to the HEB Treehouse. Spend a little time exploring and learning and then make your way back to the train stop. Stop number two is the 1925 Kiddie Park, toddlers love this place! Next up is the Japanese Tea Gardens, some very pretty scenery and a nice change of pace after the chaos of Kiddie Park. If you are hungry walk over to the nearby Augie's Barb Wire Barbeque for lunch. Head back to the train and your final stop, the San Antonio Zoo! Your kids will have a day to remember thanks to the Brackenridge Eagle.

Awesome park to explore with a date or little ones. We took the miniature train around the park from the zoo and had a great time. The conductor / tour guide was very good and seemed to love his job. Great time for kids and a really unique thing to do. Also right near the tea gardens which are great to explore as well. The ride through the woods was really beautiful and scenic as well.

We always end up on this train when we go to San Antonio Zoo! Nice, inexpensive ride! It stops at the Witte Museum and the Japanese tea garden. You can get back on after either of those and return to the depot.
