Owner description: There are two things just about every child in San Antonio has done — visited Brackenridge Park and taken a ride on the Brackenridge Eagle Miniature Train. It'll take you on a scenic tour of the park, so you can rest your feet and enjoy the ride. It is also one of the longest miniature train rides in the world, covering 3.2 miles of track and taking guests to many stops around the park such as the zoo, sunken gardens, and the Witte Museum.
Useful Information: Activities for young children

This was a 15-20min train ride on a replica train. It ran around the entire Brackenridge Park. Kids very much enjoyed it. Cost wasn't bad and (not during our trip) the train will drop off in parts of the park (Sunken Gardens, Witt museam, parking lot, ect). If ou have the time and Small children this is a Must and as an adult it gives you a full informative ride to see the park and know where you want to head.

After the zoo we went on the train ride. .. we enjoyed it... I'd like to say San Antonio has a beautiful park.. it was nice to explore the park on the train... plus it'll drop and pick you up from the Japanese tea garden.

This train ride has become a traditional ending to a days visit at the zoo. We began doing it with our first grandchild over 15 years ago and continue doing it with our youngest, now five. A 20 minute ride that allows stops at both the Witte Museun and the Japanese Tea Garden -- both great additional places to visit besdie the zoo.

It was fun to ride the train. It is not a big ride but is enough to satisfy your curosity. Kids as usual will love the train ride. Doesnt cost much. You can hop in and out all day and see the entire park.
