“What a sight”
Reviewed March 29, 2014 via mobile

Great place to stroll with our family and grandchild. Lots to see and they have everything accessible to everyone. Grab a bite to eat, grab a drink or even take a river cruise at a very reasonable price. Wish we had more time though. Lots to see and do. Plan more than a day.

“Most fun in San Antonio”
Reviewed March 29, 2014

We did the river cruise which was fun, the boat owners must make a ton of $ on this but it was worthwhile though the boat was crowded. Loved walking around the Riverwalk, enjoyed dinner at a few places. Loved San Antonio. Would love to go back

“Quaint Walk with Lots to See”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

The Riverwalk makes for a really nice stroll on a quiet evening. The part of the Walk at the Westin End is very quiet and calm. As one approaches the Hyatt and Drury, you begin to feel the real hustle and bustle of the tourist area. The walk itself is fun, about a mile with a circular route, crossing small bridges. Lots of boat traffic -- taxis, boats with tour guides, dining boats and the local boat which floats the river picking up the leaves and miscellaneous garbage. Restaurants abound, many featuring people at host stands vying for your business. All types of food, all different prices. Lots to see and do. Enjoyable for adults, kids, families and solos.

“San Antonio Comes Alive at River Walk”
Reviewed March 27, 2014

When we first drove into San Antonio, we were a bit disappointed. The downtown looked the same as it was 35 years ago. Not until we visit River Walk. This is the future of San Antonio, it is right here right now.

River Walk is a network of walkways along the banks of the San Antonio River, one story beneath the streets of Downtown San Antonio, Texas, USA. Lined by bars, shops and restaurants. You can spend hours and hours here. A great place to have lunch or dinner. Price is a bit more (still affordable) but it is the ambiance that counts, right?

Some restaurants have live band, Casa del Rio is one of them. There are tons of food choices to spoil your love one and spoil yourself. If you walk along the river, you'll pass by some 5-star hotels, and end up in a shopping center. When you turn back from shopping center go on the other side of the river, look for the sign "la villita", walk up the stairs and you'll find a little village of vendors selling different stuff. It used to be more art shops but it seems to have less now. On the day we visited which is Saturday, there were some very cool vintage cars exhibition at La Villita. There was also a live band at the amphitheater just right next to the stair case that connects La Villita and the River Walk.

Our hotel told us that there is a restaurant here called Dick's Last Resort. This place is famous for its bad service. I mean bad service is the theme of this restaurant. Funny right? Many people would came here just to get a kick out of it. Something to consider if you want some new experience. :-)

The ramps are wheel-chair friendly. There isn't necessary fence between side walk and the river so pay attention to where you walk.

If you are tired of walking, just hop on a boat that will cruise you down the river while the boat man will tell you some history and story. This is a place for adults, for family, for couple, for even solo. Why not!?

Definitely a great place to hang out. Must visit!

“Romantic but Expensive”

Riverwalk is a very romantic place located in the core of San Antonio. The walk way along the river drive you for romantic walking and funny places to visit as the tower of america where you can have a pretty good sightview.
