Owner description: The Paseo del Rio is San Antonio's favorite attraction. You can shop, dine, lounge in a cafe, or simply stroll along and let the strumming mariachi soothe your spirit.

I had been to the river walk once before when I was 14. I don't remember it being so beautiful. It was very nice and lively. People everywhere and lots and lots of place to eat. The ducks and the buildings were are favorite part.

“A great place to walk, enjoy, shop a little, and enjoy the food!”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

This was my third visit to the Riverwalk! I enjoy it each time but the St. Patty's events for this trip were fun and enjoyable!! It was VERY crowded but we expected this. This was my first trip with a baby in a stroller. All the steps made it difficult and we eventually found elevators but sometimes they seem almost hidden. I know they are working on more accessibility and that will be a big improvement. I can't imagine navigating in a wheelchair on the Riverwalk itself with uneven surfaces. On our way home we were already talking about the next time we visit!!

“You've got to see it to understand...”

It was unlike any "mall" experience we've ever experienced. The River Walk is an incredible area with an endless number of restaurants and an awesome atmosphere. Take a ride on one of the river tour boats. They're GREAT!!!

There is a lot of history in San Antonio and with our great guide we learned some things some of us didn't believe. For instance, they moved a hotel down the street in 1984. Our guide would question us to see how much we knew and would throw in a few lies to see if we were listening!! There were 10 of us cousins on this one week outing all but one retired and we had a ball. We stayed in San Marcos and New Braunfels, TX and would meet every day to eat and sightsee. The weather was great and we enjoyed this trip immensely. This River Walk is inexpensive and fun. Lots of good restaurants too. We ate at Paesanos Riverwalk and the food was good.

“Nice way to get a feel for what's available.”
Reviewed March 22, 2013

The people on the tour with you can make it even more fun. We had a really good boat and the guide was very fun. It was a great way to get an idea of what was available and an overview of the area.
