If you have been to any other children's museum (we've been to New Orleans & Houston) this museum will be a disappointment. A lot of the exhibits are in need of repairs. It looks like they were built yrs ago and never repaired.

It's a small building and it won't take you long to go through, but it's got alot of cute and fun things to do, so don't skip it if you have children. The staff is friendly. The building was clean. There are private restrooms. Lots of novel exhibits, like a fully functional HEB grocery store where the children can fill a cart with real iteams and then another child checks them out using a real scanner. There is a trolly car and airplane the kids can utilize. My son really loved the physics sections where you use air and simple machinery to manipulate play pen balls.

All in all, it was a quick stop, but fun.

The museum is alot smaller than I had expected. I had two kids ages 8 and 5. My 8 year old appeared to be bored with the museum but the little one enjoyed herself. The museum has 3 floors with just a few exhibits. It was a little disappointing because many of the exhibits were closed. Its definately geared for little ones and great way to waste some time if needed.

We went to the San Antonio Children's Museum today and had a great time. Parking is easily accessible in the Houston garage and exits very close to the museum. The price was reasonable and we received a military discount.

My four year old had a great time, especially in the "ball center." This is easily the favorite of most kids and gets a little crazy.

The children's museum in Atlanta is really expensive and is not nearly as nice as this one. However, the one in Raleigh, Marbles, is so cheap and amazing. The San Antonio addition is a good place and we were not disappointed.

We put this museum on our vacation agenda based on other positive reviews and were glad we did. Our 15-month old really enjoyed the airplane, phones, second-floor playhouse, balls, and especially the basement level HEB grocery. We think she totally "got" that this was a play grocery like the big ones we go to. It doesn't have fancy exhibit design or expensive exhibit fabrication, and some of the areas could use a little TLC, but on this busy Sunday afternoon all the many kids we saw were having a fabulous time. Definitely worth a visit!
