“Great if you plan right”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Last year we came here and really didn't do any planning and after six hours in the park with a three year old we had realized poor planning on our part was the reason we didn't get what we could have out of the experience.

Flash forward to this year and it was awesome from the time we walked in at 10:00 a.m. to when they shut down the park at 9:00 p.m.

First off, wear clothing that you don't mind getting wet or really wet. We didn't do that our first year and were sorry for it. Swim suits are the way to go especially in San Antonio in July.

Get the app or grab a map with all the showtimes on it and plan a route right off the bat. The shows are typically only twenty minutes long no matter what show you watch. The shows aren't synced per se but if you move quickly you can get from show to show in rapid succession.

If you have young children make sure to bring a stroller with you, there is plenty of places to park your strollers anytime it isn't conducive to an attraction within the park.

Also there is plenty of fountains around the park with cold water to refill the water bottles you bring into the park. As you can imagine the food and drink inside the park can add up quickly.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time this year, with a bit of planning and downloading the park app you can really squeeze a lot of activity into your time there at Seaworld.

“By Far the Best!”

Especially compared to the long lines in Orlando, this place was so much better! Less lines, much cleaner, employees who loved their job, this place was enjoyed by everyone in our party!

“Wonderful experience”

We experienced the great roller coasters as well as many of the shows. The Acrobatic show is amazing. Shamu show is still pretty good even though the trainers do not swim with the whales anymore.

“Our visit to sea world san antonio”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

We had the Sea World/ Aquatica tickets. There were six of us and I must say it was not as a good visit at all.. You just walk very long distances from one show to the other and they were very short shorts. The dolphin area was not good and area where the sharks were located was very small. This huge park and that area was just small. Not a very entertaining display at all.I was so very disappointed all day long. We tried all day to get into the water park but it stayed closed due to over crowding. That was from the opening of the park until I decided to go home.I wanted to get my money back but on the ticket it tells you that you can't and it does not tell you that until after the ticket it purchased. Did not appreciate that and was disappointed about that issue.Overall was not a good time.

“It's big...”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

Our 11 year old grandsons birthday party started out swimming with the Baluga Wales and Sting Rays. Awesome! Well done and well worth the money for this experience. Lockers and wet suits are provided as well as towels (you get to keep them). The water is cold but you quickly adjust or ignore it as the experience is so amazing. Following the morning swim we moved on to "Aquatica". The kids had fun swimming in the "surf" while we sat under our cabana that we had rented for the whole day. We actually rented two due to our large guest list. One VERY important need to know about Aquatica is if you buy your tickets online...and show up late in the day...YOU MAY NOT GET IN! They limit the number of swimmers to keep the pool (it's huge) safe. However, if your rent a caban, you in...period. I've been going to SW now since it first opened. It's a wonderful (expensive) treat for the family in our hot summer days. Parking is ample, food is ok as would be expected for a themed park...hot dogs and sandwiches...etc. The shows are well done. The park also has a day rental for a electric cart for those who can not walk the park on foot. Bring sun screen and hats and of course comfortable walking shoes. This is easily a two day adventure.
