What a great time to visit San Antonio and Sea World (mid Feb)! Day started off cool, but warmed nicely...not crowded at all! No lines for rides!! Compared to the unbearable summer heat there, this was the ideal time to visit! Azul show is FANTASTIC! We had a hard time deciding which we liked better, Shamu or Azul! Park was very well kept and staff friendly.

There are some ways to save a bit on the fees..the park will allow you to bring a few bottles of water and snacks which really helped our family (two adults and two teens). The All Day Dining option wasn't something we chose. Look carefully before you purchase...you can only use this option in 5 sit down cafes, not at the snack areas, so for a family of four at about $35 each it wasn't a bargain. We had one actual meal and a set of snacks and didn't spend near the $140 the dining option cost. You also have to make separate trips through the cafe lines to use the "dine all you want all day" tickets too, so on a crowded day, it might not be worth the time or hassle to make two or more ventures through a cafe line. The day we went, it was also prudent not to buy the Quick Passes for the rides, as most had no wait at all, and we even got to get off the Rio Loco, wait for the next boat and ride again! Saved another $100 there, but am sure it would be worth it for busier days.

The park isn't open after dark, like Six Flags for instance, so with a little planning you will have plenty of time to catch a few shows and get some rides in too. Have a good breakfast, get there at opening, maybe have a lunch and snack, and go back to SA for dinner and you can save quite a bit. We also purchased our tickets online through our credit union and saved about $15 each on ticket prices.

Be prepared to WALK, a LOT! There is no way around this park except on foot. No trains, trolleys or the like. Summer, and even early Spring is HOT and humid, so water and sunscreen are a MUST. Aquatica was not open when we visited, but I would suggest a two day pass to have enough time for both parks if you are visiting when both are up and running.

Visiting SeaWorld in July probably wasn't the best idea I've ever had... it was SO HOT!!! But despite the heat we still had a great time at SeaWorld. The shows were my favorite part and I loved seeing the different marine animals and the tricks and feats they'd perform. The Shamu Show was my favorite. It was amazing to see the orcas do tricks, jump in the air, and splash the audience.

The aquarium type exhibits were also cool, but having been to places like the Seattle Aquarium and the National Aquarium in Baltimore, the ones at SeaWorld weren't very cool. Another downside was the food. There were a lot of food options at SeaWorld, but the food was expensive and it wasn't worth it in my opinion.

Despite the heat and the food, SeaWorld was a lot of fun and I had a great time visiting it. I would like to go back, but given the cost I'd probably try and find a discount pass or coupon.

A very nice Seaworld Park. The shows were great and it was well taken care of. Check with your motel as many of them have discount tickets and the admission is a little expensive. They also offer military rates if you have an ID card. A fun way to spend the day!

Extremely over-priced. Family of 4 will cost you over $200 to enter the front gate - and to add insult to injury, they charge $15 for the privilege of parking far away - $20 to park somewhat closer.

With the exception of the price - the experience was enjoyable. The shows were incredible - especially Azul (sp?) - which reminded me of Cirque du Soleil. The Sesame Street play area was great fun for our younger kids.

The grandsons absolutely loved the place, the shows put on by the dolphins, killer whales, sea lions, seals, birds, divers, clowns & acrobats were a hit with them. Us adults had a good time too, especially when some of the audience who were closer to the front got wet from the killer whales splashing them with water from the pool by using their tails! We went the 2nd last before the park closed down for winter, so parking was no problem at all.
