The Salem Waterfront Hotel has just made our daughter's wedding this past Saturday a complete success. The convenience of staying at the hotel and it's proximity to so many fun things to see, and places to eat was great. They have the most beautiful spot on Pickering Wharf that you can imagine to hold a wedding ceremony with the natural beauty of the ocean marina in the background. The cocktail hour at the Regatta Pub was a perfect setting with wonderful food and excellent presentations to start our celebration. The fire pits and comfortable seating are a fabulous addition to the outside seating. I highly recommend the raw bar with colossal shrimp, oysters, and clams on the half shell. The staff was very professional and friendly to us and made all of our guests comfortable. The reception in the ballroom was meticulously set up and our meals were served hot and cooked to perfection. I can't say enough about the friendly and efficient wait staff and bartenders that are working here. Our brunch on Sunday morning was just as delicious and done to the max. The organization and help from our wedding coordinator, Robyn Sheathing also made this a wonderful experience. We will always have wonderful memories thanks to everyone at the Salem Waterfront Hotel and Marina.

Attended a weekend wedding. The site on the water was beautiful, the appetizers and cocktails were wonderful with warm firepits to enhance the ambiance of the evening. Dinner in the ballroom was beautiful and the rooms were clean and vey comfortable with lovely personal touches such as the terry cloth robes, microwaves, refrigerators and bottled water. I would like to stay here again and explore the city of Salem.

Room Tip: I don't have any knowledge about other rooms and I didn't have an opportunity to use the spa...

Our room was very clean large and well appointed. The staff was friendly and well trained to help keep us comfortable and happy. The location was within walking distance to marina and downtown where all of the activity took place. We were there for a wedding and had a great time from the time we arrived hanging out at the Regatta's bar fire pit ... to meeting our family in the comfortable lobby and grabbing an afternoon snack of hot chocolate or apple cider and sweets.

I;have been visiting Salem, MA for twenty years, now and I prefer the hotel over the others I had stayed at in the past; for many reasons, as followed. 1) It is close to the Mariana, 2) surrounding the hotel shops and boutiques, a like, as well as Restaurants. 3) As for the hotel itself, besides the great location, the employee are very friendly (as like most hotel staffs), but, I found my interaction with The Salem Waterfront Hotel & Marina to be above average; a) Weeks before I was to stay I emailed the staff to find out more about my arrangements, it was an evening email that I sent to the hotel and a staff member, named Tommy, promptly replied to my email, that was the first reason I like this hotel. b) For the 2nd reason I like this hotel is the front desk staff (1 that assisted was named Katie) is willing to go out of their way to make you feel at home and I felt more at home, here, then at the other hotels, even though, the other Salem, MA hotels are just as good, but, this one felt better. Of, course there downfalls to ever hotel, like the dry air, due to, unable to open windows; housekeeping service sometime are not what you would expect, but, those are just some hotel minor quirks. Therefore, looking past the quirks, I thought this was a top rated hotel and I will definitely consider this hotel for my next stay, for the next visit to Salem, MA.

We walked inside the front of the hotel to use the restroom and ended up staying the night. The hotels staff showed use great hospitality and the hotel itself is situated on Salems Waterfront. It is close to trendy restaurants and all kinds of cool shops throughout Salem. The room was nice, quiet and very clean and it had a luxurious feel too. We will totally go back and recommend staying there.

PROS:
~Tastefully decorated hotel with spacious rooms.
~Quality touches such as robes in your room, complimentary water bottles, Keurig machine and higher-end toiletries, toothpaste and shoe-shine.
~Large room came with all the amenities you need like iron, hair dryer, etc.
~Complimentary tea/coffee/cakes in the lobby.
~Ample complimentary parking (Put a pass in your windscreen).
~iPod docking alarm clock. (You would need an adapter for thunderbolt).
~Elevators
~Nice small indoor pool.
~Central to all the sights and restaurants. Park your car there and walk everywhere in town.

CONS:
~No breakfast included -- the only hotel on our 18 day trip of New England that didn't include it in the price.
~No jacuzzi/spa in the pool area.
~The night we were there, the TV channels were fuzzy -- not sure if this was a regular occurrence. We called the front desk about it and they said it was 'Because of the cable company'.

Overall, a very pleasant one-night stay. While we were there, we were able to visit many sights like the Maritime docks, Salem Witch Museum, House with 7 Gables, shops and restaurants.
