I am so happy I booked this hotel. This hotel is in a great location and is pretty on the outside and on the inside. Our room was a great size and was very comfortable and clean. The price was also great! Only small complaint is that I wish there was a mini fridge. Overall, great hotel, great price, great everything!

We stayed during the 4th of July weekend along with my parents. The hotel allowed my parents to stay saturday and sunday without staying friday. They usually require a friday and saturday stay. When my parents arrived on saturday, my father was the VIP customer of the day. This made his day as well as ours. The staff was friendly without being obstrusive. They called each time we had room service to make sure we were satisfied. Salem is a great city; much more than witches. This hotel was exceptional. We will be back.

I am so glad that your father got the opportunity to not only stay with us but also be recognized at the VIP of the day! While all of our guests are truly special we select one guest per day to make feel extra special by providing some little extras to make their say one of a kind! Salem is such a great city and I am glad you got to enjoy not only its witch history but also all of the other sites and attractions that our great city has to offer! We hope to see you soon!!

I was impressed with this hotel long before we ever landed in Mass. I had intended to book online, but he website offered package deals you had to call to about. I'm not the calling type, but I sure am glad I took the bait on this one. I saved quite a bit of money with the bed and breakfast package they were offering, which came with a gift card to eat breakfast at the hotel restaurant. And the person taking my reservation was extremely helpful. That level of service continued once we arrived at the hotel. The front desk had wonderful suggestions for where to eat and what to do. I cannot say enough about this hotel except that I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was spacious. The windows actually opened. Life in Salem was good thanks to our stay.

Wow! What a great review. We are so happy that you had a five star experience the entire time you were with us. Our Reservations/Front Office team really strives to go above and beyond for each of our valued guests so thank you for taking the time to recognize them. What you said about the packages is so true! While they are not available everyday, we have some great packages if you are looking to come to Salem during the week. The Bed and Breakfast package is our most popular which includes a $25.00 gift card to our restaurant for each morning of your stay so you are able to enjoy a great breakfast before hitting the town! Thanks again for writing such a great review! We hope to see you soon!

We just spent 4 nights and 5 days at the Salem Waterfront. This was our second visit there. Salem is lovely, but there are not too many choices of places to stay. We selected this hotel because of its excellent location and pool. I would especially like to compliment Ryan for his outstanding congeniality, customer service manner and going above and beyond for the hotel guests. Ryan's concern and guest priorities would make anyone want to stay at this Hotel. Ashley and Emily at the front desk were also very attentive.

When we checked in and saw our room 420, although it was comfortable and nice, it was extremely small, and we were informed when making our reservations that it was a larger king because of the dry bar. This room would be ok for one (1) night, but definitely not for four (4) nights. I can only imagine the size of a regular King Room???? As far as views go, although you would think by the hotel's name that you could view the harbor----forget it. There are no views except of parking lots, condo's with parking lots or shops with parking. I called the front desk and Ryan immediately looked for the availability of a larger room, and we moved to Room 427. This room was a one-room suite and had a sofa and dry bar. The bathroom was also a nice size. In addition the view from this room had one tiny strip of water that you could see between the condo's, shops and parking lots. At least is was roomier and more comfortable. The closet area was small. We did have to pay a supplemental price for this room which costed us approximately $100.00 plus additional w/taxes.

Besides location, one of the reasons we wanted to stay here was the indoor pool since we both like to swim. The indoor pool is adequate for the cold months, but for the summer, there was abolutely no place outside that you could sit once you came out of the pool. You are stuck inside with no sun. This was extremely negative that they had no outdoor space in summer season. We always choose hotels that have at least an indoor pool, but they always have an outside deck for the good weather---not here-don't expect to get any sun.

The hotel was quiet, clean, nicely decorated, and you always had a parking space for your vehicle. The staff is very attentive and are eager to answer any of your questions or to give you directions, etc.

If we visited this area again, we probably would stay here only because it is the best location, and only "game in town", but only for one (1) or two (2) nights maximum, definitely not for four (4). We would probably stay in Boston and just take the ferry over for a day.

If you visit Salem, take the ferry trip to Boston---it is delightful and it leaves you right on the Wharf by the Aquarium and Quincy Market. Also, definitely take a ride to Marblehead (approximately 3 miles away) and drive on Ocean Avenue to the Lighthouse. The view and area is spectacular and so is the town. Another must is a 35 minute drive to Rockport. This is a very lovely area to explore.

This is a great hotel with great service. The location is great, right on Pickering Wharf and a short walk to stores, restaurants, the House of Seven Gables and other sights. The free parking is a real perk in this area.

When we decided to get married in Ipswich, MA we knew that Salem, MA would be a great place for our large group of guests to stay. After staying at the Salem Waterfront Hotel ourselves, we knew that we would have no problem recommending this hotel to our guests. The rooms are beautiful and extremely clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. Throughout our planning process, the Salem Waterfront was willing to work with us on organizing a room block, hand out "welcome bags" to our guests and was the site for our wonderful "send off" brunch on Sunday. They helped us to create a weekend that we won't soon forget. I know we will make many anniversary trips back here in the future!

Room Tip: The suites are awesome!
