“Disappointing...”
Reviewed September 25, 2013

After hearing good things about Finz, my husband and I were disappointed with the quality of food served. The appetizers (raw oysters and fried oysters) were good but the entrees (paella and north Atlantic halibut), drinks and desserts were not. The sides served with the halibut (mashed potatoes and vegetables) were cold, almost as if they were plated and left to wait for the halibut. The paella was bland. The mixed drinks were strong but without good flavor. I wouldn't waste my time trying Finz a second time, there are much better restaurants in Salem.

“Finz - when you want a great view and a good dinner.”
Reviewed September 24, 2013

Finz was a nice place for a relaxing dinner with a great view of the dock. I had a really nice swordfish steak and they accommodated my "low-carb" life style with no problems. My husband had the haddock which he said was also quite good. It is a little bit on the pricey side, but worth a trip on a beautiful day when you can sit outside on the deck.

“Decent meal”
Reviewed September 23, 2013

Pleasant restaurant, but not as smart as I expected. Enjoyed the plain grilled tuna for a main. Meat options ordered were also good. Service was decent, despite a problem with one of the staters not being cooked through properly. The issue was handled quickly & professionally. Would return if in the area again.

“Excellent food”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

I love sea food but my husband doesn't. He doesn't like the witch thing either but begrudgingly went to Salem with me anyway. One of the crew on the Fast Ferry recommended Finz to us as a good place to eat. I ordered the Far East Shrimp for an appetizer, the lobster roll and homemade chips, and my husband ordered a hamburger. The Far East Shrimp were to die for! I think they have a tempora type batter on them and the sauce poured over them was divine. Even my husband was in heaven. The lobster roll was really good and the chips were great. The food isn't cheap but I wasn't looking for fast food, just good food. Well worth the money.

“Great Food and Atmosphere”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

While traveling on business in Boston, our group decided to spend the evening at Finz. Our waitress Amber was awesome. She pointed us in the right direction on apps, drinks, and food. All were excellent. Highly recommend this place. Getting Amber is a bonus.
