Don't like giving negative reviews but will start with positives. Great location right in the heart of Salem, close to restaurants museums and shops. The dock hands are friendly but ineffectual. The showers and toilets are filthy and talking to locals they say its a common problem the management don't care. Don't ask to use the hotel pool or gym as boaters are rejected outright at using them unless you are a guest of the hotel, although the marina and hotel are the same complex and owners ??? The concierge was helpful about local tours and sites not much else to say. If your a boater enjoy the location but don't expect anything else.

Thank Chris D

The view was beautiful, we stopped trying to ask a guide a question, he was talking to another guide. We waited sometime trying to be patient. Neither guide acknowledged us as we waited. Which I felt was very rude. We continued on but it would of been nice to have our question answered. Still the view was beautiful, all the boats and water, a must see in Salem
There are shops and restaurants near by all in walking distance.

Lots of shops and restaurants near the harbor in Salem, MA. Enjoyed walking around, enjoyed the refreshingly cooler air near the water. This area is also near the Custom House, the ship Freedom, and The House of the Seven Gables, so it makes a good spot to relax and enjoy some refreshments.

I always stop here when in Salem, I love to see the boats in the harbor. Nice place to sit down and relax for a few minutes and take in your surroundings. Also a nice place for a family picnic.
