“Food quite good but drinks outrageously expensive!”
Reviewed August 3, 2013

I purchased a groupon for taco dinners for two which included, one appetizer, two taco options, one side and a dessert. The cost was $33 which I thought was quite reasonable for what was offered. We each had a couple of cocktails which were very good. I had the cucumber margharita which was extremely pricey and served in a rocks glass but delicious.

We also had the wings which were really great as an extra appetizer. The lobster and crap guac was just ok...had a heavy fishy smell but not a lot of taste. The ribeye tacos were very good and we ordered the fried chicken but received the mahi mahi tacos...they were very good as well.

The bill came to approx. 125.00 AFTER the 56.00 groupon was deducted!!!! Holy Guacamole!!!! Food prices are very reasonable but the drink prices are crazy! We sat at the bar and the service was excellent. The room is VERY dark so if you have sight issues, bring a flashlight ;-). Overall, we enjoyed the experience and will go back for dinner again but perhaps have a cocktail at home before heading out for a bite to eat.

“CANNOT SAY ENOUGH GOOD!”
Reviewed August 1, 2013

From beginning to end, this restaurant exceeded my family's expectation of a fantastic dinner. The atmosphere was dark with red velvet walls, rod iron fences, and very cool lighting. We all agreed that this was like nothing we had ever seen, very cool. Our waiter was a doll and was extremely attentive, always making sure that we were satisfied with our food. Even the buss boys were constantly smiling and checking up on us. From the free pallet cleansers, free chips and variety of salsas, and free cotton candy at the end, we were practically satisfied there. But still, we had the pleasure of enjoying the delicious mahi mahi, rib eye, and brisket taco (all of which were delicious). My sister is very difficult and was constantly asking for extra sauces and lettuce and they were more than welcome to accommodate us. Before our dinner, we also ordered the blackened shrimp queso dip, which had a great creamy dip along with more and more chips. For dessert, we ordered the buenos noches (or something like that) which was a MASSIVE brownie with coffee ice cream on top. At the end, we were presented cotton candy and a few temporary tattoos, a very cute touch.

“Glitzy cover, not much substance”
Reviewed July 16, 2013

The restaurant definitely has a unique decor, and makes for a fun place to have a drink. The service, however, was quite slow and dispassionate, and the food only mildly inspired given the prices they're charging. And even though the restaurant and bar are in one huge dark room, drinks served while waiting for a table must be closed out before being allowed to proceed to your table. I'm only 40, but I already feel too old to spend as many hours and dollars as it seems necessary to get ho-hum service and food.

“Great Atmosphere, Great Food, Good Drinks”
Reviewed July 9, 2013

When you entrer there is a huge bar area with tables seperated by a wall and rod iron fence with a separate dining area. Almost a little Gothic and very well done.

Heated nachos are served free, we ordered the trio of guacamole, which was extra but worth every penny, guac mixed with bacon, gauc mixed with seafood and gauc mixed with jalapenos. This was absolutely fabulous.

I had the ribeye steak tacos. The meat was super tender and the side sauce had the right amount of heat.

My wife had the talapia which was tender and tasty.

We both had the house margaritas which were OK.

Cotton candy is brought to every table as a free desert

Pricing for meals is relativly inexpenseve. Drinks are expensive, not the place to have a few drinks with dinner.
