Tavern in the square was a nice place. I had the burger, it didn't stay together that well, but it was good. When I was there for lunch they had a dessert buffay, I didn't go but it looked good when I passed by it. It is a good place to go to lunch

First time for dinner with a group of 8. The food was pretty good. Can't believe the drink prices though! $9.50 for a margarita? Really? Yup. The Ahi Tuna was cooked perfectly. A friend got the buffalo chicken Mac and cheese which was really good. Turkey and steak tips were also good. Service wasn't great buyer had a good time.

We used to go here for a quick bite all the time. They changed the menu last Spring and we've only gone about three times since then. They shortened the menu, as if they didn't care about the food any more, and replaced most items that we used to get with mediocre easy-to-make items that, frankly, aren't really anything to brag about. Also, the Sunday brunch is WAY over-priced. Honestly, $17 for, again, mediocre food? If it were $5 less, I'd still probably think it was pricey, but I'd be OK with it. So if you're looking for variety or something other than a burger skip it.

You should also know that the place is LOUD, with no attempt to control the bar side which always seems to be filled with either SSU students or just crappy locals who can't stop screaming at the 100 or so TVs along the walls. So it's not a place for a conversation most of the time either. The staff is really nice though...so it isn't their fault. But there are better places in Salem for the same price point, unless they bring the bigger menu back then go to those.

This restaurant is in a great location right in downtown Salem. It has an extensive bar food menu that offers something for everyone in your group. The weekend brunch is fantastic and worth the $20- per person.

Wonderful food. Great outdoor dining weather permitting. Acoustics are a bit daunting due to the young bar scene. If we can get an outside table, wonderful experience
