Capt's is a good place to eat with decent food. The view is worth the visit.
On the 2nd floor the outside deck is breezy if there is any wind and it overlooks both the piers amnd the harbor. As an added plus the square rigger that is a National Park service attraction is moored nearby and very much in view.

I have been to this restaurant before and enjoyed it, so I thought I would give a gift certicate as a birthday present. The certificate states that it is good for one year. I asked to speak to the manager who informed me very rudely that they weren't interested in people getting gift certificates if they weren't going to use them right away. FYI - in Mass. - gifts certificates have to be honored after the expiration date. What I found most offensive was his attitude - which was rude. I won't go there again there are too many other places in Salem that will appreciate your business

We found this restaurant while we were walking around the wharf in Salem. The charcoal grill smelled so good that we had to eat here. The hamburger was as good as it smelled and the service was great.

Been here several times over the years and always enjoy dining here. We enjoyed the view from our table of the Friendship ship docked near by. The scrod that day was haddock and served with mashed potatoes and great fresh veggies. The nice thing here is you have the option to order the pub size portion or larger portion. I must admit that the pub size is more than adequate and much less expensive. My husband ordered the larger platter but couldn't finish it. So pub size next time for sure. Lobster bisque was delicious too.

Very expensive. Food not very good. Portions skimpy. Left still hungry. However the view was awesome
