“Salem Night Tour gives tours a family friendly tour”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2010

The tour was absolutely wonderful. I've lived in Salem for close to a decade now, and have been on some of the tours in town. Each tour I've been on is interesting. This tour, however is very family friendly. My mother and I went on the tour last night. Our tour guide was a pirate named Seamus Crow. He made the tour fun and entertaining. He brought along an EMF reader and let three little boys who were at the front of the tour use it for the entirety of the tour. The stories were fun and exciting. For anyone wanting to bring their kids on this tour, I'd say this is the tour for you.

“Cheesy, but parts of it enjoyable”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 29, 2010

The cheesiness factor in this is very high, but the historical information was interesting. We had an interesting and humorous guide, but stops to take photos of possible apparitions gets a little much. Others in the tour had just done a similar tour in Boston and said it was almost identical.

I recommend you go only if you can handle that.

We feel that this is a good review! The Night Tour is a mix of History
as you found interesting, and Ghost stories at haunted places, sounds like you
should have taken a strict history tour, should have taken our day time tour!

“Best ghost tour ever!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2010

My cousin and I went on this tour. The tour was amazing and our tour guide Eric dresses up like someone would be dressed in the 1600-1700s. We went to many of the haunted sights in down town Salem. I would recommend this tour than any other to people visiting Salem. We learned a lot on this tour.

“Haunting, entertaining, and lively!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 21, 2010

The title sums up the tour in general. My husband and I and our two kids arrived late on a Monday night and were looking for something to do at night. We came across a group standing in front of a store. Eric (who was later to be our tour guide) let us know that the ghost tour would be leaving in 20 minutes and gave us an explanation of what the tour was going to be like. We signed up (got the family rate of $9.00 per person) and left at 8:00. From the beginning the tour was very lively. The group was a good size but the guide made us all feel welcomed and he encouraged questions, making it more intimate.

At each stop Eric spoke about the history and the ghost stories attached to each site. We were encouraged to take photography/ video tape of the many haunted windows, doorways, graveyards, and buildings. The funniest part of the tour was when a woman asked the guide why we were not carrying around candles and he said because "if someone caught themselves on fire we may be sued... but it would make for a good ghost story..." or something along those lines hah!

Thanks again guys! we had a blast!

“Spooky tales and interesting sites: worth the trip over from Boston.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2010

We took a train from Boston specifically to do this walking tour. The store where the tour begins was a brief walk from the train station. We enjoyed walking through this quant town and seeing all the fun shops. The folks hosting the Salem Night Tour were very knowledgeable and eager to tell the tales of hauntings, hangings, witches and murders past. We learned alot during this 90 minute tour and had a great time!
