We have been visiting this museum for years, and yesterday visited again for the faberge exhibit. We also toured the Chinese house while we were there. Both exhibits were fascinating. Our kids, 12 and 9, also enjoyed them, and the self-guided audio tour was very helpful. We will be back soon as we didn't get to visit other parts of the museum this time. Great value too as the kids are free and our tickets including the two tours were only $22.

Really enjoyed the Maritime Exhibits and the American History Exhibits. There was a Faberge Egg exhibit at the time of our visit that was very nice to see.

With all the great museums in Boston it was quite a surprise to find such a wonderful museum in Salem, MA. We were there specifically to see the Faberge exhibit but found the whole museum to be a hidden gem. We will be back for a longer visit soon.

We loved it - we loved the house tours. Next time we will have to spend more time at the museum. It is huge!

This is one of the best small museums I have visited in the US. The current exhibitions -- African American Artists as well as Faberge -- were superb. Don't miss the Chinese House: absolutely fascinating.
We did not get to see the house tours. Maybe next time.
