We recently saw the Ansel Adams exhibit. Absolutely wonderful. This museum is a marvel in Salem and not to be missed. It is a world-class museum.

“Ansel Adams and Hats Exhibits”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

Recently saw the Ansel Adams exhibit and the Hats exhibit. Both were excellent. The restaurant was great and very reasonably priced. We had no problem with on-street parking during the middle of the week. I highly recommend this museum.

“Good choice”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

Really enjoy this museum. A lot of history and plenty to see. They offer several guided tours for no charge but be sure you set on the list because they do fill up. We sent on several and they are most informative. You can then go back and see what you've missed.

“art & artifact”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

More like a history museum with art . very attractive space . There were a few spaces being refurbished when I was
there but the exhibits I saw we're well presented but did not offer self audio tour. They DO have docent guided tours

“Salem: rich in maritime history”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

People forget that Salem is a great nautical port and had a great and extensive maritime history. Lots to see and look at here and worth the time especially if you like museums, that are not about Halloween.
