Really enjoy this museum. A lot of history and plenty to see. They offer several guided tours for no charge but be sure you set on the list because they do fill up. We sent on several and they are most informative. You can then go back and see what you've missed.

More like a history museum with art . very attractive space . There were a few spaces being refurbished when I was
there but the exhibits I saw we're well presented but did not offer self audio tour. They DO have docent guided tours

People forget that Salem is a great nautical port and had a great and extensive maritime history. Lots to see and look at here and worth the time especially if you like museums, that are not about Halloween.

A fantastic museum in the midst of Essex St. Excellent displays and refreshingly not witchcraft related.

If in Salem make time to visit the PEM, a world class museum with more exhibits to see than one has time to. While there in September of 2012, we took in the Ansel Adams exhibit and the Hat exhibit. The local maritime history covered is fascinating.
