If you are visiting Salem, you have to visit this spot. Lots of history of the Salem Witch Trials here and a good staff to answer questions.

Wow! We visited this place and the "tour guide" (or attendant because it is a self-guided tour) was an expert and scholar when it came to the witch trials. She eagerly and enthusiastically talked to us for about a half an hour giving us all sorts of facts. If you love history, this is the place. The house is wonderfully set up to get a feelling of what it was like to live in 1697. Highly recommended for history buffs. But if you are just going to Salem for the kitsch of being afraid avoid it.

Very informative museum - was great that you could go at your own pace and have people available to answer questions.

This house is the only building still standing that has connections to the 1692 trials. It's full of antiques and interesting facts about the house. It was nice, but it wasn't one of my favorite attractions in Salem. It is worth visiting if you have the time and you're around the area looking for something to do; the fee was somewhere from $6-8 a person (I think $6) so if there's only 1 or 2 of you it's not a huge expense and it doesn't take long. I'm glad I went to see it! Photography is allowed (no flash) and there are stairs.

Went on an unguided tour was great lesson on the Salem witch trials and history of the Corwin family. Liked it the only thing was the tour was a little high priced for a self guided tour but still worth the trip.
