If you like cheesy pirates, this is the place to go. We had just git finished with two witch museums so we were ready for the cheesiness. Pirate Ignacio was a good sport.

“Neat little history museum!”

I took my three year old son who loves pirates and he really enjoyed himself. The tour was informative, the guide stayed in character and really knew his stuff. I found it very interesting and would definitely go again.

“Fun and interesting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 4, 2012

Definately enjoyed the tour - great history and made fun via the costumes and "pirate talk" of the guides. I do suggest buying the package deal (three museums for one price) . If spending the day in Salem, you have time to do all three, plus morel, and each have a bit of different perspecitve.

“Campy, yes, but I liked it too”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 25, 2012

Okay -- it's pirates. So automatically a worthwhile stop for families w/kids, especially boys. Once you get past the bearded pirate mannequins, though, it's also interesting for adults. Displays of artifacts salvaged from shipwrecks, and recovered equipment, as well as info on the science & tech of marine recovery.

“Very fun tour !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 19, 2012

This is a fun change while in Salem. It tells a little about the pirate history of the area, and pirate history in general. Displays are well done and the tour guide seemed to genuinely have fun with the tour. My 4 year old loved the tour and of course had to purchase a real wood treasure chest from the gift shop !
