A few weeks back, we visited WLPR&S for a very special occasion w/our granddaughter. Upon arrival, my wife and I reviewed the menu and found it very good on it's own, but we wanted something even more unique. We asked to meet the chef and requested a special dish (Chateaubriand). He was excited and willing to assist. The prepared meal was served with a deserving flourish. It was absolutely superb and priced quite reasonably. In every respect, this restaurant and hotel met and exceeded our every expectation. Taking time out of my day to bother to write this review is - on it's own - evidence of the memorable experience we had there. We will choose to return again soon and would encourage others to similarly experiment and have high expectations!

Room Tip: Overlooking the golf course was very nice but I'd suspect every room to have a pretty good view...

The location of the hotel is spectacular with superlative mountain views but the responsive and caring staff was even more so!
Executive Chef, Russell Michel catered tirelessly to my every dietary allergy and concern and his staff at Azul and the banquets followed suit. He is kind, caring and organized. He paid attention to every detail and also went out of his way to meet with me and my colleagues. Banquet Manager and Executive Meeting Specialist, Peter Mnatzaganian was exceptionally attentive and helpful at all times of the day and evening! Two members of the waitstaff were also attentive and exceptionally eager to please and went out of their way during huge banquets to make us feel at home and cared for. They are Geovanny Sierra and William Arce.
Great service in a beautiful location!

I just spent four nights there for a business meeting. It is a beautiful resort framed by the Catalina Mountains. The resort has all of the expected amenities including a beautiful golf course. The staff was gracious, accommodating and exceptionally friendly
I'd stay there again

Room Tip: All the rooms come with either a patio or balcony. If this makes a difference, it's a no smoking...

Having just spent 7 days previously at a similar type hotel in Phoenix which was truly excellent, by comparison, the Westin La Paloma was 3rd rate. Nice facilities but with few people staying, there was lots of space but no atmosphere. The breakfast buffet selection was very limited cp. to the hotel in Phoenix and the final straw was waiting 20 minutes to place a lunch restaurant order, with only 5 other tables occupied - not acceptable. Occassional habit of staff complaining about work which shouldn't happen. Views of the hills are great. Bottom line - the management needs to visit an excellent hotel to see how it should be done as it has excellent potential.

Room Tip: Overlooking the golf course

It's a beautiful hotel and the mountain views are amazing! The different pool areas are great and the restaurants too. I went to the gym everyday and they have excellent classes and equipment. Everyone at the hotel was very nice and attentive.

Room Tip: The rooms with the mountain view are amazing!

This hotel is terrific with its generous pool(s) ,tennis, and golf. The main hotel is comfortable while most of the rooms are in buildings within a short walk. The view from the foothills is great. One really needs a car to go for hikes and eat in many nearby restaurants. No major drawbacks for this retreat

Room Tip: get a room in G or E building

My stay at the westin was awesome. The view was breathtaking, the staff was great. They answered every question i asked. If i needed something it was never too much. I stayed in the "E" building, an i was always asked if i needed a ride to my room. Waking up and seeing the view was Priceless. Mr.James,Patrick and Dextor very sweet guys..if you needed the shuttle, they got it foryou. We did get very familiar with Safeway. Lol. Overall great place for family.
