We are in the Tucson area several times a year to visit our daughter who is attending the University of Arizona. We have stayed at a number of other hotels in the area, but this one really offered the most bang for the buck and was excellent....as long as you are not looking for the big resort experience.

The rooms have all been completely renovated and done so quite tastefully. My daughter (who likes to stay with us when we visit) even remarked that the sofabed mattress was comfortable.

Because there are still some renovations taking place (only the lobby and it in no way interfered with our stay), this Courtyard has been supplying complimentary breakfast (bagels, cereals, juices, muffins, yogurt), which is not the norm for a Courtyard. So it was actually a nice surprise.

The pool area was clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs; the whole courtyard area was asthetically pleasing. The fitness center (just off the pool area) had all brand new equipment that included 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, 1 recumbant bike and a weight bench (obviously, there were weights as well). This is about right for a hotel of this size.

We booked our 3 nights on a package with a wholesaler called Travel Bound and paid a total of $280. That's total for 3 nights including all taxes, not per night. So it was a very good deal for a busy weekend in the Tucson area (UofA Family Weekend, UofA football game, USTA League Nationals).

We would absolutely stay here again.

Dear Great "non-resort" choice in Tucson,

Thank you for taking the time to write a great review about the hotel. Something you may not know: The hotel has undergone a complete renovation including guestrooms & a Refreshing Business lobby. The linen is new. The pool furniture is new. The free 40MEG wireless internet is new too! With all these updates, there are a few things that have not. I am sure you will see many familiar faces in the hotel. Our staff continues to perform at a very high level - and that has earned them advancement in Marriott. The great thing is that many of them had the opportunity to stay at the Courtyard Tucson Williams Centre.

Please come stay again and tell us about it on Trip Advisor!

We had a great stay there!
The rooms have pretty new furniture and the decoration is stylish. Everything was new and clean!
The pool and spa area looks great as well and well kept! Towels at the pool are available all the time. The fitness room is equipped with new exercise equipment!
In the lobby two computers with free Internet access are available.
Staff was friendly!

We would definitely stay there again!

The location is excellent if you are doing any shopping or just getting around town, but you must have a car. It is right in the center of Tucson, but nowhere near the downtown area. It was difficult to find. It is located a block behind the major streets, however, once you are there it is easy to get back to.

The staff were very accommodating, the room very clean and well appointed. If you are there with your family, everything is there so that you can make small meals, have coffee or cold drinks, etc. There is a microwave, and they even have bags of microwave popcorn. The icemaker in the refrigerator was turned off when we arrived, but they gave us ice from their kitchen, and then the icemaker caught up with things and everything was okay.

I have no complaints about anything other than the bed was a bit hard. Still, being kind of picky, that wasn't much. The grounds are well kept up. The pool is clean. There is plenty of parking. The lobby and hallways are clean and well kept.

There is an excellent breakfast included with the room. They make several kinds of cookies for you as you pass the lobby.

We were there two days, and felt this is the most that we have received for our money in years. We recommend it without any qualification.

I am in the Tucson area often and have stayed in a great many properties.
I think for all around value, amenities, cleanliness, and staff, this is the best (general priced) property in the entire area. There are mult-hundred dollar per day spa properties that do supersede it, but no other generally priced hotel in the area matches it.

This is a property more suited to adults and business travels than it is for children and teenager however.

Dear This is the best (non spa) hotel...

I am always amazed how well our guests understand the hotel business!

Thank you for your great comments about the hotel. Since this reveiw, the hotel has undergone a complete reinvention: new rooms with flat panel televisions and refrigerators, a new Refreshing Business Lobby with Bistro featuring Starbuck's coffee, 40 Meg free Wifi, new pool furniture, new linens... oh, too many things to mention.

I hope you are great - please come again,

Room was clean, nice & comfortable. Sofa & fridge in room, view on the pool but not well soundproof ( hear people partying at pool but stop at 10PM). Very good service at reception: nice staff, helpful and smiling! Hotel give free coffee at reception for hotel guests in the morning & in afternoon cookies and cold water w/ orange slices ( very good). Really like this place!

  • Liked — Cleanliness, price and service
  • Disliked — pool & not well soundproof.
