“Not in all area‘s on the expected Hilton standard”
Reviewed April 12, 2013

We stayed for two nights in the Hilton Tucson East. First of all the rooms are clean and the staff is friendly, but there are some points in the Hotel which are not at the expected Hilton standard.
Some spots in the rooms and the hotel should be replaced or renovated. The air conditioning in the room doesn't work very well and therefore it was too warm in the room. During the breakfast it happened on both days that cups or plates weren’t clean. Furthermore the Orange Juice was out on the second stay. That may not happen in a hotel in this category.

My fiance and I stayed at this hotel from 3-30-13 through 4-2-13, check in was without any problems, room was clean and comfortable. I had read conflicting reviews about this hotel prior to booking. All I can say is that there must be some very picky people out there. The hotel was not a 5 star resort, but it was clean, staff friendly, courteous, and very helpful when needed. We took advantage of the pool each afternoon. It was well maintained and clean. The bar and restaurant were very good also. The food, although not cheap, was very good, and portions were very generous. If you want a clean, safe, affordable hotel, then I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Love this place and look forward to visiting again when I'm back in Tucson. The room was great and comfortable, staff was friendly, views were super. Pool area was kept up. A nice place to stay and relax and unwind. They know what customers want at this place.

Room Tip: The top floors are the best to get views of the vistas in the distance.

Give this location in Tucson a try - it is a better value than comparable hotels in the Foothills area. Tucson East offers executive level rooms on the 6th and 7th floor that includes breakfast and a nightly reception. Breakfast included oatmeal, pastries, fruit and eggs. Reception included 2 drinks per person and fruit, cheese tray and a hot appetizer (one night they had steak and roasted potatoes). This level also includes nightly turn down service and a daily newspaper (it is harder and harder to find hotels willing to add these special touches). You're 20 mins. from anywhere you want to go in Tucson - but isn't everything 20 mins. away in this town! There are a variety of dining options nearby - fast, moderate and upscale.

Room Tip: Opt for the executive level - the added perks are worth it.

We had never been to Tucson so were not sure where would be a good location. We were looking for a good value but safe and clean. We were pleasantly surprised at the value. We were on the executive floor which included cocktail hour and breakfast. The food was pretty basic but the service was great at both. Mark, front desk agent, who checked us in was very professional and helpful. I have been to many Hiltons and of course they vary depending on management and location. I was not expecting a Waldorf - it is a nice clean property with friendly staff.

My husband and I were so excited to stay at a Hilton! The name invokes memories of amazing service, high class and a great stay.
Honestly, I was disappointed to stay at just another hotel. When making our original reservation we ended up in an ADA accessible room. We called to switch to another room to open that space for someone who could utilize it better. The phone reservation lady changed the rooms to our preference and we were able to ask for a crib(we have a 6 month old). Upon arrival, the changes had not occurred. Not the biggest worry, we just did not want to take a room someone else could use, if needed.
The place was clean, the staff was friendly. The pool was fun. All to be expected from an every day hotel.
No fridge, no microwave, no coffee maker and you have to pay for the breakfast.
No discussion of amenities.
It's not as great as was expected.

The first feature that caught our eye was the large glass window with a beautiful view of Mt. Lemon. The lobby was clean and neat, staff was extremely nice. Even the maintenance crew was polite and dressed well. We told them what a great job they did keeping up with the hotel and they graciously accepted the compliment. The bedspreads were white, unstained and not torn. When I laid on the pillow it was so soft and comfortable I did not want to get up in the morning. We decided not to stay for breakfast as the buffet was a little pricey.
