We stayed here a year ago and it was not bad. This time we could smell the pine disinfectant before we opened the door. Upon entering the room it was over powering. I tried to air it out with the air conditioner but it was intermittent. We had been driving all day and were tired so we made do. Today we got back and our room key would not open the back door, so loaded down we walked to the front and had to get new room keys, I told the clerk about the smell and the dirty stains on the carpet as well as the shower that was very hard to turn on and said we would not be back again. The same strong odor was again present. We got another room but packing out for over night was a pain. There was no mention of compensation. There are too many decent places to use this one again.

This motel is way out by the airport with nothing much around it - a couple of fast food restaurants and a Dennys were nearby, but if you wanted a place with a bar, you'd have to drive several miles. Fortunately there was a microwave so we drove to supermarket about 2 miles away and then fixed our own food.

The tv was in really bad shape. First, the remote didn't work well - you had to push the button about 10 times really hard to get it to change channels. Most of the channels had either a really poor picture quality or no sound. I tried to call the office to find out if there was a way to improve the tv. One time the desk clerk answered and told me to unplug it for a minute. That didn't help so i tried to call back. the phone rang for 5 minutes and then shut off. I tried again - same thing. I walked to the lobby and the desk clerk did offer to put us in a different room, but since we were busy fixing dinner, we decided to just not watch tv. The clerk was friendly, but just couldn't help us.

The first morning we tried the breakfast at 6:45 am and they were almost out of eggs and sausage. It hadn't been replenished by 7:30. The next morning, they had hard boiled eggs but no scrambled eggs and sausage at all. Otherwise, it was a pretty average motel breakfast (toast, bagels, cereal, etc)

The room was mostly clean, but the carpet looked like someone had barfed on one spot. The bed was comfortable but we couldn't open the window at night beause the noise outside was pretty loud

We stayed here on a Sunday night in March. We did not book ahead, and only decided to stay in Tucson to visit the casino which is only 2 miles away. Luckily, they had a room left and we paid a very reasonable price for just walking in at 6pm. Our room was nice, and the bed had down-filled pillows, much to our surprise! You are out near the airport, and there is no view to speak of, but still a good deal.

This is an old property that needs an overhaul in the worst way. The junk vehicle in the back lot should have told me everything. Cars with Mexico license plates filled the lot. The air conditioning wasn't getting cold, the TV cable system had some kind of problem, the pool is shaded and not heated, the pillows are a joke and they need to clean the carpets. My wife spilled something on the carpet and when I cleaned it with a with a white wash rag, it turned black from the dirty carpet. Not enough electric outlets. Breakfast is ok as is the house coffee.

Pros: The hotel lobby is clean and lovely in appearance. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast options are good and the staff are wonderful! The internet is OK

Cons: The people upstairs are loud. The hot tub is hot but no jets. The TV's in both rooms, are Not working right. It will go blank for several minutes or fuzz out and need turned back on again. The beds are old and have spring issues and pillows are small little throw pillows. I thought all the Choice hotels were using the "Rest assured" beds and pillows???

Big clean rooms and great relaxing lobby where excellent breakfast available. Hotel is cheaper than downtown options but this near airport choice has speedy access to east, west and southern destinations that avoids the traffic congestion of downtown. Choose a room facing west over an open field towards the mountains rather than rooms facing east onto adjacent moist plastics factory!

Room Tip: Choose West facing rooms or mountain views verusus the noisy plastics factory seen from east facing...

It's exactly what you expect for the price. Clean and good size. Place smells a bit of smoke. The front staff is nice and accommodating. The sound of planes/the factory behind is there, but it's not much of an issue. Breakfast was decent and the free wifi worked well. I was overall happy enough with my stay.
