“Nice Place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 16, 2013

My wife and I stayed here on our vacation. It is a nice place, quiet and clean. The pool was nice and the staff was very friendly. We ate breakfast everyday at the resort and it was superb. The food was cooked perfectly. I would recommend to stay here.
Legends bar and grill had a happy hour from 5-7 with drink specials and food. We had both there and again, very good.
The spa was nice as well.

I thought the hotel overall was beautiful but came up short to living up to it's claim. The room was very far from parking. The front desk people were very helpfull and greeted you everytime you passed by the front desk, that was everytime you went anywhere.
We asked for extra coffee but that was never delivered.
The proshop for golf was a big disappointment. We made tee times in advance ( one month) and eventhough we were a guess of the hotel they couldn't find the reservation so we had to settle for a Saturday afternoon time and only one. We rented clubs (very expensive) and when we got there that afternoon they were not ready and then we had to carry them ourselves to our cart. Lot of claim to upscale but little proof.
Not on my list to return, Plus the restaurants were very expensive and nothing within walking distance to use.

Room Tip: make sure you comfirm your tee times and rent a car.

This is a beautiful property with great amenities. The staff was very friendly as well. The rooms were amazing. The room and staff made us feel at home for our stay. The pool was very nice. We attended a wedding at this location and everything was so perfect. The facilities and staff for the wedding went over the top to ensure everyone was well taken care of.

My husband and I were traveling with my handicapable 87 year old mother in law,. When we arrived and shown to our rooms there was only a tub with no hand rails, these were located in the lower level casitas. She was not able to get into the tub. The front desk staff relocated our rooms next to each other near the main building with a shower that she was able to use. The rooms were beautiful and well appointed with a lovely view of the desert flowers and cactus she loves. We could not have been happier with our choice of hotel and the special attention that was given to our family and the genuine concern shown. Thanks to all who helped in making our stay so enjoyable and memorable.

This place had wifi slower than turtles. A Tv older than Tucson and electrical plugs that do not hold a plug. I felt like I was in an apartment complex. there are other more charming places in Tucson.

We had a great 2-day deal through Groupon but we never expected the luxury and enjoyment we had at this resort.

First, we loved the room. It was a good size suite and everything was comfortable. The bed was even more luxurious and we had the best sleep on our nine-day trip across Arizona. We loved the shower, bathroom and sitting area as well as the balcony, where we spent one morning on the patio just soaking in the sun. We did have an issue with the balcony door but one quick call and it was fixed. On our second day we received a complementary beverage for joining their executive club.

Second, the staff was very friendly from check in to check out. The consierge Johnny suggested a variety of things to see and do and we are very grateful for her suggestions. We ate both dinners at the Legends Bar and they treated us very well (plus we loved the food). The breakfast was awesome - full of flavour and very fresh.

Lastly, we enjoyed the pool but we arrived late after a day of sight seeing and only spent an hour there but wished we had an extra day just to stay at the resort. That was our only complaint - that we should have booked three or four days instead of two.

The hotel, once a favorite among many, is sadly in decline and will require major upgrades in furniture, fixtures, window treatments and paint. The cleaning staff requires remedial training on basics. Pride of ownership is missing and we are going back to the Westin for our future needs.
