The bed was very soft and for me uncomfortable. The mattress was in good condition, no obvious dips or wear but way to soft for a comfortable night's sleep.
The room was clean, breakfast was average, location fine for where we needed to be.

Would recommend to someone who like a too soft bed.

We stayed at this hotel recently while visiting family because of the close proximity to our family's home. One week before arrival we called the hotel to request a ground floor room, as one of our family members traveling has multiple sclerosis which can prevent her from walking far, let alone up and down stairs. This request was guaranteed by the hotel manager. When we checked-in the next week we were informed that there were no ground floor rooms available; however the group in front of us in line were given a ground room. The next issue was that no rooms had any refrigerators, which we needed to keep medication in. We reluctantly took the key to our room and proceeded to find it. As we were driving toward it we saw a man who appeared to be a maintenence worker, and decided to stop and double check on the refrigerator. He was incredibly nice and said he would look for one in an out-of-order room. He found one and brought it to our 2nd floor room in less than half an hour. The next night when we returned to the hotel we were shocked to find that what appeared to be homeless people sitting around a "campfire" in the parking lot! This was very distubing and made us much more cautious about what we did the rest of our stay. The rest of our stay was more uneventful, including the fact that our room did not get cleaned once while we stayed there. This was definitely one of our worst hotel stays ever, and we will not be staying here again.

Good experience after a long day on the road. Had no problem with my two cats. Amber at the front desk was very polite. Very soft and comfortable bed! There's a shopping area and a pretty popular bar across the parking lot. Would recommend!

I don't see the review I posted last month.
(1) Desk clerk inattentive and somewhat rude when she hung up before I could respond about room needs. Whined about computer being down, and could not upgrade room because she didn't know what they had.
(2) Room did not have the roll-away for the extra child. Desk clerk said Security would bring it at 9:30pm, but young nephew had to haul the roll-away and linens up the stairs himself at 10pm.
(3) Cleaning women rather rude, their carts partially blocking stairwell and they were grouped together talking.
(4) Complained to the morning's desk clerk... she pretty much shrugged it off with "Sorry 'bout that."
(5) Manager not available to settle things.

The room was fine.. however, let's start with the bra (from the previous guest) that was left in the bed by the cleaning when making the beds.

When I received my bill from my credit card company, they not only charged me for my stay but also someone elses. I called - and tried for 2 HOURS to get someone at the hotel. I finally had to ask a relative to drive to the hotel to get the issue resolved.

They need better management ...

Awful. Not a typical La Quinta. Dirty. We stayed one night, parked directly outside our room, and had our car vandalized, window broken, and items taken from car. Hotel staff would not answer phone in early 6 am morning. Not a safe place to stay.

La Quinta sent us a free night to stay in any of their hotels so when we knew we were going to Tucson, we elected to stay overnight rather than drive back home. We chose the Tucson East property on Broadway Road. We chose it because it was their highest tier hotel and was not near Tucson International Airport. We thought it would be the nicest or second nicest of their 4 area hotels. We were shocked when we were arrived and cannot even fathom what their lower quality ranked hotels there look like. I was literally astonished as I surveyed the property and recollected the actual price we would have paid for the room were it not free ($119 plus tax).

The room itself had a cleanliness level of average or slightly below average when looked at with the naked eye on a cursory glance. Upon further investigation, we noticed several dark brown stains in the carpet and other weird stains in weird places on the walls and such.

The bathroom did appear to be very clean from everything we could see.

The bed was horridly uncomfortable and we could feel the springs as we sat and lay on the bed. This made for a fitful night of sleep.

Additionally, the room is directly in the flight pattern for the Airforce Base, which we were not aware of. So jets flying at low levels directly overhead disrupted our rest both day and night. This is not at all a suitable hotel for light sleepers.

The fridge in the room, while appreciated and excellent at chilling things, was the noisiest small appliance I've ever heard. The noise was only drowned out by turning the television up loudly or turning on the equally noisy air conditioning unit. The room also had a microwave, but we did not use it.

All of the rooms open outside to the parking lot. Some inconsiderate traveler's car alarm went off all night and kept us awake. The rooms are literally right on the parking lot with no distance barrier so sound easily traveled in to our rooms.

The complimentary breakfast is served 6-9 on weekdays and 7-10 on weekends. We did not consume it so we cannot comment on it.

The housekeeping staff came early and knocked but did not even give us a chance to answer before entering the room. Fortunately we'd flipped the door frame lock so they couldn't open the door completely but we did not appreciate the intrusion.

Two things we did find particularly pleasing about this hotel were the fact that the shower, jacuzzi and pool were all very warm. We enjoyed a comfortable swim at 8:30 pm and the hot spa was very relaxing. We also loved not having to fight for hot water with other rooms when showering.

I suppose if you are the kind of person who can sleep through anything, this would be an ok hotel for you but I just can't imagine paying their $100+ rates for these rooms. While we were checking out, they were quoting (and booking) some poor schmo at a rate of almost $150 and I couldn't help but want to reach and grab the phone and tell the guy to keep looking.
